    Snow at my place in monkton. Ground is whitening, all surfaces (funny how accumulation works when it has been cold enough). a really delightful Christmas Eve surprise. Probably won’t last long but a genuine nice bonus.

    People's need to work out for all of us in real time their efforts to not be disappointed in the long range threads is such a weird thing. Like, we get it. It might not snow. We live here. We don't need to be reminded after every ensemble run that it might not snow. Or that good H5 looks don't mean it will snow. Or that cutters might happen. Or fish storms. Like, we don't need that, EVERY TIME. Good grief.

    I left for work Friday at 8 am and didn’t get back until after 10 pm so never saw it falling here but I think eyeballing the dusted hillside in my yard and what was on the deck I can call it .5”. fun thing is hillside that is protected from the rising sun each day still has snow on it.

    yeah, fwiw, to those not seeing snow in the air, it's not sticking to anything unless you generally have pretty decent elevation.

    I'm gonna mentally put myself on my deck sitting and watching it fall in Monkton as opposed to downtown balt city on a 20th floor where it is not nearly as pretty or apparent.

    For my part of northern Balt county, that would be an absolute miracle. Dying of thirst in a snow desert miracle.

    The bolded is the bottom line. For a lot of us, we have had bupkis so far. On top of many years of...the same. Watching weeks go by where in theory it might have had a chance to snow and getting nothing is less than ideal. In any event, maybe more posters who have actually seen measureable snow can keep putting up snapshots of OP runs at range showing deep reds of over north america. That is the truly helpful stuff.

    Gonna be in New Orleans on the 29th and 30th for two Billy Strings shows so...looks pretty great.

    not enough. he's canceled winter. time of death - 6z gfs on 12/14/24. Mind you, I went WAY low for the contest, so...kinda playing out so far like I expected. We shall see. In any event, bumping this since panic is afoot.
