  1. Nice!!! I should have gone out and looked up, apparently - not sure if visible in my part of far northern Maryland, but maybe they were.
  2. Woo! Nice to see you mappy. Some more rain on top of that up our way will be most welcome. Things are trying to re-green…
  3. The first round up my way delivered. Incoming for round two for northern Maryland imminent.
  4. Whelp, if it’s Hail Mary time for some folks, then it’s time to heave it up…
  5. Models just struggling with where to bring it ashore and throw copious moisture at our area that dries up on arrival in southern Virginia and then re-forms in PA. Once they resolve that, they will center on a solution...
  6. sigh. As always, the models that are right in any given moment, summer or winter, are the ones that show us getting screwed over...
  7. Just have to hope like hell that Rogers and/or Eflin catch a second wind and a tweak or two is made from fresh eyes from the Os coaching staff to elevate their ceiling. I really REALLY wanted a hammer to put between Burnes and Grayson for playoff series (multiple series hopefully) and neither Eflin or Roger are anywhere close to that, so, will have to hope that bats are humming come playoff time. Maybe Holliday will hit the ground running on his recall and give them a jolt for this closing stretch of games in August/Sept.
  8. What a gut punch of a miss up this way.
  9. I think it is supposed to fill in, right? As opposed to being an unbroken line all the way across?
  10. For storms? Or for rain chances? Because I hope to hell it isn't for rain chances...
  11. I heard three rumbles of thunder...woo.
  12. Yeah, that is awful, that really does suck.
  13. Man oh man am I relieved to have lucked into that storm last night because today looks like no way
  14. Yep - and there’s the confirmation- 3-4 inches of rain across the Hereford, Parkton, Monkton area from that complex. But just .4 down toward cockeysville just seven miles south. Hugely lucky to catch a training set of storms. Things already much much greener this AM. I am grateful. https://x.com/avawbal/status/1815668306705092901?s=46&t=rKRo5ildsXjOFWkYH7wDlg
  15. Holy hell - getting an absolute deluge and it’s setting up to train pretty much over my part of northern balt county / we will get at least a few inches out of what is falling j would wager - this is torrential downpours - this is quite welcome and was extra needed / wish more could share in this in the forum
  16. And now pouring pretty good downtown Baltimore.
  17. Skies pretty dark looking southwest from my bldg downtown Baltimore - looks like it must be pouring in Catonsville at least
  18. Turns out it was a nesting pair so we got quite a show that evening and in the morning. So very cool.
  19. Woo! staying at an air bnb just south of downtown Annapolis that is right on the water (quiet waters park area if you know the general spot) and there is an osprey nest on a pole about 20 feet out in the water and he/she is active and been watching him/her fly like maybe 10 feet off the ground right by us as it circles the water. So very very cool. Also, house next door has a martin house and like 50-100 purple martins doing their thing there so two more birds for the life list. Gorgeous night now that the drizzle has passed here - nice breeze and lapping water. oh, and we saw two dolphins to boot a little bit ago. Magic evening.
  20. One of the years tho...he will be right. Maybe. Let's go for this one.
  21. Maybe slightly breaking the curse - 15 minutes of torrential rain just after 6 last night - nothing after that but will take what I can get.
  22. Surprised how humid it still was this AM. Thought cooler feeling air would have filtered in behind the rain, not yet I guess. Monkton took a really nice hit from the storm between 6 and 7 - thor style cloud to ground lightning strikes and torrential tropical feeling rain for about 15-20 minutes. I don't think it rained much after that but things do look a little more tan than deep brown in the yard this morning, so, progress. Need more rain tho.
