Think they’ve done a great job based on how this looks right now in Suffolk -
1.5" Wading River / 14F, rates havent been particularly impressive here but great to see it accumulate right on top of the salted roads anyway

This is a really notable difference -- regardless of snow totals each year, days with snowcover continue to take a hit. And not just here.

Its been frustrating. At least there has been snow nearby. My place in the southern adirondacks is up to 100" and there is much more northwest and northeast of there. I know some people are sick of the cold/wind but we've had too many winters with seemingly endless 50 degree stretches - I'd take this year over any of those.

Despite the snowfall frustrations here on the coast, at least this winter showed we can still get three consecutive below normal (with all caveats) winter months. I would have bet aginst that prior to this winter for sure.
