  1. 64/41 for this final day of February at DCA, another double-digit (+10) day relative to average. A day more typical of early April.
  2. low-mid 60s - just absolutely amazing out rn.
  3. Fred La Marmotte died on Feb 2 in Quebec this year - should've been a big ol' red flag.
  4. I thought DCA just got its first sub 40F day of the year, but it looks like we hit 40 just after midnight last night, so-- nope. It also didn't get below freezing. Remarkable.
  5. This is about what it looked like in Tenleytown. Was nice while it was falling lol.
  6. We can go to the NE forum in April when we're in the 70s and they are stuck in days of 45 and fog.
  7. By my count (someone can check me on this), we've had 12 days of 32 or lower, and 8 of under 32, so far in 2023. I wonder what the record minimum count of such temperatures is for a calendar year for DCA/DC?
  8. Let's go - I'm on board. Normally I would be telling late Feb events (unless we were measuring in feet) to fuck off, but since we've gotten basically a dusting all year, we run with different season-end criteria at the moment.
  9. yeah we're up on a hillside and are 80-81.
  10. 40F at Central Park 80F at DCA Not often you'll see that lol
  11. imagine if we could do snow like we did heat. Mid 40s this morning, not lookin good. Then BAM, 12 degree rise in 45 min with a wind shift.
  12. man we can still do heat - all you doubters when we were in the mid 40s at like 9am lol DCA don't play
  13. DCA's been 78.8 (26C) for 3 straight 5-min obs with a pretty favorable wind, gonna be close.
  14. full sun here in NW - off we go
  15. yeah I guess we'll see how things shake out tomorrow, but looks like with this timing we'll miss out on absurd midnight warmth with this one.
  16. some of these temps rn in WV are bananas - nearing midnight and it's in the mid-upper 70s. What the fuck??
  17. why can't you square it with a warmer-than-normal base state? Just because it's warmer doesn't mean it's not cold enough to snow anywhere. These are high elevation mountains.
