  1. 27.9F. Not much lower than the previous freeze which was 28 and change. Not sure what’s going on with wunderground, it gives on and off error messages. Seems to be working now!
  2. Took the drone up a couple of days ago. Things are definitely changing pretty quickly. PS: house on the bottom right is for sale if anybody is interested
  3. Speaking of weenie spots, stopped by for lunch at the new Glen House hotel in Pinkham Notch. Hotel is a bit too modern for my taste but can't beat the setting.
  4. Yes, it's off of Base Station Road, across from the service entrance to the Mount Washington Hotel. I believe Corridor 11 goes right by there
  5. Just got a new house into our rental program. This is the view. So stunning!
  6. Interesting that I've been in that boat for the first time in my life. Living on a flood plain, I have to accept it's going to happen. Last time it was 6" of rain in 12 hours that did it. I'm sure many would not put up with the idea that every 10 years or so your house will be inundated... But as long as you're safe, it's manageable. Our main issue was the power outage which affected the whole region for 4 or 5 days. Other than that, I was somewhat surprised that we were able to go from a completely flooded lower level - 3 feet of water or so - to completely back to normal in less than a week.
  7. 43/80 yesterday and 41/81 today. May not feel like fall but this weather is hard to beat.
  8. I don't know. They are changing quite rapidly here, seems pretty much on schedule. The 28F a few days ago should definitely help too
  9. Don't know what my mean is but it would be 78 days for us. Those poor plant's gotta hurry
  10. Last freezing temp was 32 on June 22, followed by 36 on July 19 (probably light frost then? Seems so long ago, can't remember and can't believe it got that cold in mid July lol)
  11. I need to check... Something like that. 29.8 is not awful, everything I have out is somewhat hardy. Shouldn't be anything more than leaf damage
  12. Down to 32.9 already. Grr
  13. Our forecast calls for a low of 32, and we are generally a few degrees cooler when it's a radiational cooling situation. My plants are screwed. Gene wanna take a ride up and cover them???
  14. I left for a trip to Seattle/Northern Idaho and won't be back till Tuesday... So I think we are guaranteed a frost since I left the plants out
  15. Doesn't really qualify for foliage yet, but certainly lots of change in our area. Won't be long...
  16. Down to 52 here. Getting close to having to turn the heat on! I noticed today that the trees are no longer the uniform deep green, and you can start seeing more muted greens and somewhat orangish hues mixed in on the tops. It's coming!
  17. There’s one with 3 cubs that’s been hanging around my yard. They’re awesome to watch. We see them almost every day. Most of our renters love seeing, then a few weeks ago some idiot sent me an angry email saying “the bears gotta go.” Some people’s stupidity is beyond words. Especially when you consider my “yard” is a sliver of private land surrounded by the Ammonoosuc river and National Forest.
  18. Might be that I just got back from florida but it feels like fall here. 51/51
  19. Question. My grill is just getting destroyed by the bears. This morning I found it in pieces dragged off the deck, even though I had let it burn, cleaned and removed the grease pan. Any tricks that might keep those little buggers away before it's destroyed? There's a mommy with 3 cubs that seems to have taken up residence at my house and some males roam the area quite a bit too... They are relentless
  20. Yep. We use Roku with Direct TV Now. YouTube TV us also a good option as others have mentioned. In reality though the service we use the most is Hulu
