Forgive me but...I don't know why those who want to argue against masks (not saying you specifically) keep using this one early moment in time as support for it...It's almost like the mask advice given from April onward didn't matter. It's always "But at first you said..."...I don't know if it's a genuine "can't unring that bell" argument or just an anti-mask excuse.

That's not far off from a hypothetical unfolding. It could reach Cat 4 and then weaken rapidly prior to landfall. Ha...opposite of everything else this year, lol

Never said we were due for average...6 inches is still below average or median, lol But just speaking to having two 1-inch winters in a row has never happened, that's all. So "better" in a sense of not being in the bottom barrel of 2 inches...

Well, it doesn't HAVE to be...but it would be a historical anomaly...at least at BWI. Looking up and down the record, there have never been two consecutive winters where we got less than 2 inches. That would be a new historic level of fail--even for here--if that happened. Following our lowest winters, there was always an uptick of some sort...would often be like 6-8 inches, and one time 17", and once was above average with 24 inches (1992-93) So definitely no history of it...and let's hope things stay that way

Ya know...I sometimes wonder if folks today would be using that same logic back in 1918...I could see it now: "Oh, the fatality rate is ONLY 3%! 97% of people are fine!" (I know the percentages aren't the same, but you get my drift, lol)

Lol Hey, you know me...if there has to be snow suffering..."All together now" And hey, better to get these bad look LR forecasts now instead of getting a head-fake...so that if there's a surprise, AWESOME! But if not...the expectations are low to begin with, lol

I mean...just taking a more plain,, commonsense language approach here...doesn't "active" mean, well...a lot of activity? So on a basic linguistic level of definition...isn't the number of storms enough to verify as such? Lol Was the prediction "hyperactive AND strong"? If not, then technically...it verifies

At the very least I can't see us staring down 1.8" again (that was the BWI measurement)...Historically when we got that low, we'd at least be able to follow up with a 6-8" total for the season...BWI has never once done back-to-back sub 2" winters, lol

Hey look...at least this time there won't be many expectations. I mean if these turn out to be right, it'll still suck, but at least there won't have to be disappointed hopes too, lol And also...if it's like last year at least we'll all kinda be in it together here on the East Coast! But it would be kinda historic though to have back-to-back winters where most of the MA and northeast got little to nothing, wouldn't it?.....Let's hope it's a least a little better that, lol

Didn't know "real tropical poster" was a prerequisite for posting...lol Now I will admit my general geography skills aren't the best, but this I still say the image was kind of a quiz question because of there being no other point of reference visible (I'm used to looking at it in relation to Texas, lol)
