Wow. Is it just me or have the winds this month been quite cool? Like all the breezy/windy days it's been a very cool wind (can we have this in July? Lol)

Yes indeed. I think we addressed our needs pretty well overall! Ya know even with our playoff struggles, we are still a Top 3 or 4 organization in the NFL--we Ravens fans are very blessed! And of course no one can hit on every pick, but each year we have a solid, calm BPA strategy and stick with it! Ha...I Can't believe everybody and their grandmama knew we wanted Malaki Starks at 27 and he still fell to us anyway, lol I think he is gonna be a STUD. And it was a bold move to take a chance on Mike Green--a player we would ordinarily stay away from because of the off-the-field issue. But the need was great enough that it's worth the risk, imo.

I think that's on the way. ABS challenge system was experimented with during ST in some parks...pretty sure it's just a matter of making sure it's ready. And yeah I mean...the O's are already struggling--but between the injuries and umpires we need some dang luck man, lol

Well I mean ya just gave a rather fatalistic "The future is now and they blew it" as if it were no coming back for this group, so I didn't know what you meant, lol And I totally agree on the pitching--these dumpster moves ain't it, man. And even bringing in a veteran hitter that's actually good would help too. These young guys need leadership--and that's what's been lacking the last year or so. The best teams have found that balance of young and veteran and we haven't yet.

New ownership could choose to fire him, ya know...(perhaps he has a leash for this year, but next year may be the hotseat). People are forgetting about that part--Rubenstein & Co. have been here barely a year, and they deserve to be given a chance, imo

Oh so I guess the whole team is beyond repair and needs to be blown up, right? Sell everybody and start over? I mean according to you they already blew so there's no hope whatsoever for the future of this group, right?

Except...they didn’t. This team was incredibly young and inexperienced--that's why they didn't do anything in the playoffs. I do not believe that's the best they can be--they are too talented to not be able to do much more than that. It could just be an issue of leadership--and there's still time to correct that. I mean with this core, you actually make the right moves to add to the team, and possibly get a new manager, this could turn around in one season.

Yeah he's done...it's a crying shame with as much potential as he has. I was looking for him to grow into an ace, but alas...

Almost sure Detroit would've asked for Basallo and Holliday, lol That to me was the issue with last year's trade deadline...Elias got a lot of heat for that, but teams were literally asking for the two TOP prospects to trade for pitching...so I gave him a bit of a pass for that. Asking prices were absolutely ridiculous! The off-season on the other hand? Surely there had to be somebody better than Charlie Morton...

That's four years away, man. Still time for ownership to right the ship (as in firing Elias if need be).

Never said we didn't need to do better (though I doubt we could've gotten a Crochet) But the whole running out of time worry is way premature. .....Baltimore sports fans have to be the grumpiest in America, lol
