Like I said...everytime we have something good, smh We'll see him in who knows how many weeks! And our next man up isn't much in the WR department--we're gonna have to sign somebody with Zay being iffy (you see how pedestrian the offense looked when he left) Otherwise the offense is gonna be a concern.

The Zay and Lane situations completely ruined the win for me. Lane's sounds like he's gonna miss a lot of time (broken wrists are like 1-3 months!). Receivers looked like crap without Zay, and hamstrings can linger, smh For ONCE I'd like a Baltimore team to not have bad luck. We have had enough of it to deserve good things now

Yes to the second sentence, lol But people are about to find out how much of a problem Elias was. And if I had to bet...Alby stays. But if he doesn't, it's a shame. Dude never got the chance 90% of other rookie managers get. They should've fired Elias last year and started fresh THEN--but now they gotta humiliate somebody just coming in while cleaning house, smh

I would think ownership is gonna have the final say on whether Albernaz stays. And I am skeptical they wanna have their 4th manager in two years either...that's what makes the situation rather unique. Alby hasn't been here long enough to be considered part of the "stink", imo And that's what I keep coming back around to: the prospect of firing someone who walked into a lot this mess.

This ain't fair, man. I'll preface this with I am not fully convinced by Alby; I just don't believe in axing a coach after one rookie season. To me, that is not a fair chance by any means; ESPECIALLY when it's not all his fault. Veteran coach would've been better, but they hired Albernaz. But see any other rookie coach would get a minimum of two years, though! And what sunk this season ain't all on him--the bullpen decisions absolutely are. But it's possible that part can get better! The main bulk of what led us here is on Elias/Sig...including the lineups and of course all the analytics. Alby walked into a mess, and being inexperienced got him the ire of the fanbase and possibly a humiliating one and done. Not the most fair thing in the world, and he could very well improve and do well elsewhere if we fire him. I mean frickin' Joe Maddon praised the hire (along with others). Hard to believe they were all wrong and this is as good as Alby gets.

It indeed has been. However for some random reason that coinflip has been remarkably consistent in that it is only every other super that snows...(65-66 yes, 72-73 no, 82-83 yes, 97-98 no, 15-16 yes). That's not meteorological but it still bothers the heck outta me for this year, lol

Dang it man...just dang it. I'm not sure we in the central MD/DC part of this forum are realizing what failure this winter means for the next 2-3 years...we'd better pull a miracle or the next big snow can't happen until 29/30 at the earliest. Might clean house...only up in the air in that scenario is Albernaz. Will depend on new GM unless Rubinstein wants him to stay, I suppose. What I have trouble believing is that Rubenstein does nothing. You can't publicly complain about being in last place and do nothing. And there is only one thing to do: fire Elias, clean house in the FO. He himself said that increasing payroll is not the end-all and there is more to successful ownership than that. I hope he takes what he learned from other top sports owners for his book, and applies to this organization.

They're tired, imo. A week of starters not getting deep enough (aside from yesterday), extra-inning games...piles up. But on the whole...no they've been average. Now imagine trying to manage them, lol

So all of you are saying...a rookie manager does not deserve another year to take what was learned the first year and get better? And don't come at me with "They needed an experienced manager" because the fact is...they hired a rookie. Is that Alby's fault and they should say "oops we made a mistake you're out" I had to dig deep to see just how often a first-year manager was immediately fired...could only find 3 or 4 examples in recent years (and two of those were because Joe Maddon became available, lol). It's just way, way premature to me.

Managing a bullpen is literally the hardest on-the-field thing managers do. That's why I wish people would just give him time on that. And the lineups are not his fault, imo That's Elias/Sig

I cannot believe all those folks around the league were wrong about Albernaz...and that this isn't growing pains. I mean he was quite sought after the previous off-season, and highly spoken of! I'm skeptical of the notion he'll never get better. He could very well be a great manager elsewhere if he gets fired here. But no matter how you slice it--getting fired after your rookie season with no chance to grow is humiliating to say the least. Gonna be interesting to see what happens.
