  1. Ah thank you good sir! (I just tried to play a bit of that first movement a little while ago...been awhile, lol) And you're right: Weather may let us down, but music never will--especially the music of BEETHOVEN!
  2. Another reason to never trust a pattern with so many ns sw's flying around....too much random interference. This week it was the four corners...last week it was thar other piece that yanked a perfectly good southern wave northwest as it got up to us. So even having an unusually active stj in a nina doesn't help when ya got all that confusion, smh
  3. Can't be any worse than when I tried to hire a tank to drain one of the great lakes after that low screwed us in March 2018.....thankfully they let me off with a warning
  4. If this doesn't encapsulate our collective snow psychosis I don't know what does, lol
  5. Grandboss...will make a note of that term, lol
  6. Man I ain't even know where the dang station was until an hour ago, lol
  7. This another weekend where we gotta look past one sputtering storm to track another a week away? Seems go be the theme this month...lol
  8. All good sir. I know ya don't want to call it a bad day, but hey, we all have those days where the self-control ain't where it should be. The best any of us can do when we do go off the rails on here (which many of us have a time or two...or three...or four, lol) is own up to it, apologize, and move on. And don't sell yourself short--forum would never be the same without ya brother!
  9. Something Beethoven had a hard time with P.S. If you've never watched "The Genius of Beethoven" I HIGHLY recommend it!
  10. Ya know all this time I had no idea where the ignore "button" was. I had assumed you could click on somebody's profile, and I'm up here baffled because I didn't see one...but then I look in the drop down menu and eureka! That took longer than it should have...lol
  11. Yeah and again, what I've learned here is that ya never wanna be playing the precip shield game from a coastal. If the low ain't tucked in...ya fringe, lol
  12. That would be nice. I'm done with all these ns vorts flying around screwing up bigger snows. Yeah overrunning may have a gradient by nature...but at least it's easier to track
  13. I definitely read it like that, lolol This is why I call ya mother Mappy "When we find ourselves in times of tracking Mother Mappy comes us Speaking words of warning 'Knock it off'
  14. Didn't you say yesterday thas you were gonna digress from the pbp?
  15. I feel ya one that...but that's alright...you guys will make up ground and then some (probably starting next month, lol)
  16. It's hard to get a sense on here since more folks are either south or west, lol But yeah 5-8" would be quite nice!
  17. Man I wish we had something to get that low tucked further in!! But right now we're just playing the precip shield game, smh
  18. Oof...man that would hurt. But the warning event would be nice
  19. Man we have got to get a legit el niño in here (one that actually works unlike 2018-19). Can't take this mess anymore. I haven't been in a deep snow for 5 years, and DC, S. MD have has had two healthy sliders give them 8-12" in that time period...while my yard has gotten skunked with 4.5" (2019) and 1.5" (Jan 3rd this year) respectively. ....Snow that covers everything is nice to look at. And last year's light stuff (can't remember whether that was Feb or March) was nice scenery, and I enjoyed it more. It's just...getting that deep snow is a different kind of high. And I'm starving for it because it's been so long since I've seen a foot. Never gone this long without a foot in my brief lifetime--usually 3-4 years in between one-footers, and 6-7 in between two-footers. Maybe next year is year #7 and we get something (I hope). But this has been a mentally draining stretch where things just haven't lined up right. I had written this winter off at the beginning because it was a nina...then I got sucked back in when I heard we had an stj. But lesson learned--there are two many ns vorts flying around in a nina. Too hard to get anything more than a few inches. I hope we get niño next year--at least then we have a better chance at a Miller A.
  20. For my area I hate having to rely on those NS front end deals...because for some reason we always end up dry...or at least, that's how it happened last year. WAA came, bands west and east.
  21. Well technically you would know they got a foot because you'd hear it on the news...lol I remember before I was tracking I'd hear about an area just north and or east/south of here I'd be frustrated
  22. This part here--I can tell ya that will not make it any better...trust me. The more misses between the hits, the more angst there is tracking the next one.
  23. Yeah at least that'll get some closer to (or above for DC) climo...not a terrible consolation prize I suppose
  24. It never really progressed today Thought folks were saying 18z was better?
