  1. Why is Pivotal and Weatherbell Kuchera always so different?
  2. I hope it slows down some because that run was in and out in a hurry. 3K is down to like a 6-hour snowstorm.
  3. Some places going to make a run at a foot, even maybe slightly more, if those snowfall rates are accurate and you end up being the lucky one that sees that ridiculous high rates for a few hours.
  4. FWIW, HRRR at range was a trainwreck with the last storm. Pretty sure it was way north and showed little for NYC.
  5. Man, if there was only a way to slow this thing down. What a mauling.
  6. People dog on the SREF's all the time, but if you don't pay attention to the ridiculous members (which is pretty obvious when you look at the charts), it's pretty accurate and gives you a great idea of what to expect. It did a really nice job with our last storm at least for my area.
  7. Pivotal Kuchera looks way different. Highest amounts are around 6-8 inches. DC is like 4-5.
  8. There are some big hitters in there. Must snow like crazy for an 8-10 hour storm.
  9. Yeah, I think I might not have anything left other than some small snow piles come Saturday night. It took a beating today.
  10. Not enough hot dog emojis for that map, lol.
  11. Looks pretty accurate. Has me at 10-11. I think I got 3ish from the mid December event and then 6-7ish from the recent storm. Also had 2 or 3 light dustings.
  12. I don't remember the individual storms, but I just remember in the weeks leading up to the two big February storms, there was a few minor systems that ended up overachieving by quite a bit. There was like a three week stretch where I think I ended up with 70 inches of snow or something ridiculous like that.
  13. NAM is an absolute thumping. It's a shame it's so freaking fast-moving. Wish we could find a way to slow it down a little. Some serious moisture with this one.
  14. I'll also add that I don't get why people are so mad we aren't getting teens and low 20's for highs. If we want to roll with 2013-2014 for the next month and a half or so, sure, that's cool. But most likely, it will just be freezing cold and dry as a bone.
  15. I'm pretty sure Philly ended up with something similar to what Baltimore got. Honestly, NYC got a bit unlucky, if you can call it that. It snowed like crazy there for 6 hours or so, but otherwise all that banding pushed inland and they were basically done.
  16. His part of EC might have gotten it better than me. That band was just taunting us forever. Was sitting just north and just not moving and it was just flurrying down here. Did pick up a bit as it finally moved south a bit but it started losing its intensity. Very wintry day though. Was flurrying or light snow 90 percent of the day. Definitely had that classic look and feel to the day after a big coastal.
  17. There has either been snow, sleet or freezing rain falling almost constantly for nearly the past 60 hours now.
  18. Pretty big surprise this morning. I'm actually stuck in between the two bands though so just flurries. That band just to my east sitting right over 29 looks like it's tightening up and looks great. Wish it would make it's way over to me.
  19. Today was fairly wintry this afternoon but quite underwhelming. I think a lot of places ended up getting less than expected.
  20. Steady light snow. Band really fell apart as it approached. Not surprised, though. Looks nice, though. Freshening up the snow/ice pack.
  21. We made a big pot of crab soup for this "storm." Perfect night to heat up the leftovers.
