  1. Much bigger flakes now. Steady light snow, maybe bordering on moderate.
  2. Getting fringed with the good stuff just on the other side of 70. Starting to see some bigger flakes mix in.
  3. Light snow here. Almost looks like little snow pellets. Instant stickage on all surfaces.
  4. If I had a dollar every time you said that this year............
  5. This is what my driveway piles look like after I make sure to shovel every single inch of snow that can be possibly shoveled in hopes of preserving snow as long as possible.
  6. Might be good for those around the bay but that all looks like it head pretty well east of 95, if it even makes it up here.
  7. GFS was a little too far west with this but actually did a decent job picking this up. Could be a nice little coating for places near the bay.
  8. Nice band blossoming, but just happening too far east. Need that thing blossoming back by Hagerstown.
  9. Light snow/sleet shower right now. It's quite welcome to put some pellets and snow down to add some traction on top of the thin layer of black ice everywhere after last night.
  10. I'm ready to be hurt again, lol. In all seriousness, I wouldn't say Monday has no shot. Look at what has happened this year. Everything looks like it doesn't have much of a chance 4-5 days out and then suddenly it starts trending south and east. Now, unfortunately, the other trend is that, once we have it in a good spot 1-2 days out, it trends north and we get screwed, so I'm also not really going to buy anything until it's actually happening. I've been fooled way too many times this year. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me six times, shame on me.
  11. That would be a nice way to touch up the snowpack.
  12. Getting some light mist/light rain outside and it's down to 27, so it could get pretty slick out there tonight if that's going to be an all-night thing.
  13. You know it's been a rough winter around here when unknown substances are falling from the sky, lol.
  14. Have no idea what the actual verification scores are, but the para always seems like a joke to me. It seems much worse than the model it is replacing, which already leaves a lot to be desired. Para just seems too cold and snowy all the time.
  15. I'm not sure I've ever seen/heard sleet this heavy before. Maybe it's come down as hard as this before, but definitely not harder.
  16. Yeah, everyone stop complaining about a storm for most that was supposed to drop 3-6 or 4-8 and has been actually worse than the other joke storms we've had with a couple inches of snow and then slop. Baltimore hasn't had a warning verified since the blizzard of 2016 but you all spend ridiculous amounts of time tracking snowstorms and should just suck it up and live with it and be happy getting drilled in the face with ice cubes.
  17. Same. Having a hard time holding onto flakes right now. Just getting pummeled with sleet. Looks like our hail mary snow hopes have died.
  18. Light to moderate snow with sleet mixing in now. Most wintry scene of the day by far.
  19. Scattered flakes trying to mix in now. Looks like the biggest flakes of the day.
  20. There is no doubt the warm layer hurt me, but the crab claw has gotten me big-time here. There's been a big band northwest of me all morning and then some stuff seemingly east of me. I'm just not getting any heavier returns. It looks like this last batch coming up can't avoid me.
  21. Shocking that the NAM dropped the snow for tomorrow morning idea.
  22. Pretty crazy the difference between me and you. You are probably 10 minutes up the road, maybe less, depending upon where you are in Sykesville. Not much happening here.
  23. Just briefly turned to mostly snow in a heavier band but now back to freezing rain.
  24. The NAM from a couple of days ago was obviously wrong. It was basically doing the same thing the GFS did for awhile, which was moving the storm progressively south and east and playing catch up. But you cannot argue over its performance over the past 24 hours, which is its wheelhouse. It was insistent that near 95 and south was likely to whiff on any snow accumulations. It had the main snow band way north, and that's going to be fairly accurate. Euro and GFS tried to shift a bit late but were still way overdone around 95, and the HRRR should be put on rocket and fired into outer space.
  25. No, but the much-ridiculed NAM once again lead the way on this. What a winter it has had. You can take the GFS, HRRR, and Euro and throw them in the trash can. I'm sitting at 25 with a mix of sleet and freezing rain. Seems to go to all sleet in heavier bands. This is probably the most frustrating winter I can remember. At least some previous winters, you just closed the blinds and took the loss and took your lumps because you were coming off a run of really good winters. The amount of time I've spent tracking essentially nothing this winter makes me understand why Bob Chill stepped away.
