    I'll also add that I don't get why people are so mad we aren't getting teens and low 20's for highs. If we want to roll with 2013-2014 for the next month and a half or so, sure, that's cool. But most likely, it will just be freezing cold and dry as a bone.

    I'm pretty sure Philly ended up with something similar to what Baltimore got. Honestly, NYC got a bit unlucky, if you can call it that. It snowed like crazy there for 6 hours or so, but otherwise all that banding pushed inland and they were basically done.

    His part of EC might have gotten it better than me. That band was just taunting us forever. Was sitting just north and just not moving and it was just flurrying down here. Did pick up a bit as it finally moved south a bit but it started losing its intensity. Very wintry day though. Was flurrying or light snow 90 percent of the day. Definitely had that classic look and feel to the day after a big coastal.

    There has either been snow, sleet or freezing rain falling almost constantly for nearly the past 60 hours now.

    Pretty big surprise this morning. I'm actually stuck in between the two bands though so just flurries. That band just to my east sitting right over 29 looks like it's tightening up and looks great. Wish it would make it's way over to me.

    Today was fairly wintry this afternoon but quite underwhelming. I think a lot of places ended up getting less than expected.

    Steady light snow. Band really fell apart as it approached. Not surprised, though. Looks nice, though. Freshening up the snow/ice pack.

    We made a big pot of crab soup for this "storm." Perfect night to heat up the leftovers.

    I'm not sure what else we will get, but just in general over the entire Northeast, it looks like the intensity and coverage is waning quite a bit. I think NYC and Philly might even be basically winding down.

    That band rotating down out of Harford is losing some of its punch. Hopefully it gets here.

    Flurrying, maybe a light snow shower if you are feeling generous. Nice flake size, though. Reminds me of the final moments as a big coastal is pulling away.

    The latest NAM would seem to indicate that all we need is a 50-100 mile shift south to get a chunk of Maryland into heavy snow.

    Either he is being sarcastic, lives in NYC, or was looking at some run of the NAM that I'm unaware of.

    Yeah, that's about the best thing that can be said about the Euro. Otherwise, it's a total whiff. I'll hold out some hope maybe the HRRR starts trending our way and something weird happens, but I think we all know where this is going for Monday/Tuesday.

    Ha, yes they are. I just went out for a long run and pretty much the only people I saw were Amazon drivers and a couple shovelers and dog walkers. Timing of my run wasn't great. Was a lot of needles right in my eyes. Should have left a little earlier when it was ripping fatties. I'm probably closing in on 2 inches. If we can get things going through the evening like models showed, I don't see any reason why 4-6 won't verify.

    GFS is actually painful to look at when Philly and NYC are actually buried. That was supposed to be us. 2+ feet. We gotta catch a break at some point.

    The 12z GFS isn't awful. It gives us some snow tomorrow. It's still not enough to get big totals, but it should be wintry.

    I never understand why people outright dismiss the NAM. You can be skeptical of it, but all guidance should at least be considered and analyzed, not just tossed. Even the ICON. Maybe.

    Because the models are only wrong when they show snow and then it doesn't. When they don't show snow, you don't get a pleasant surprise, lol. Ripping good here in Ellicott City. Would love to see this intensity all day.
