  1. I'm pretty nervous for our area. I feel like things trended in our direction suddenly for a nice event but may have trended a little too far north. If we can stay snow with solid ratios, I think it could be our best event of the winter, but the snow/rain line sure is creeping very close.
  2. Could wave 1 going farther north mean wave 2 comes north and is a hit for some?
  3. The Euro could very well be wrong, but if it isn't, that's basically a non-event for almost the entire forum.
  4. It doesn't seem that crazy to me. The area of decent snow is pretty small. It's still 36 hours before it even begins, and the difference in areas that get the goods is not that great. If you take a blend, it's basically DC in the perfect spot.
  5. I will be absolutely stunned if this works out for most of us. I feel like I've seen these wave scenarios before and they almost always fail here. Getting hit by both is almost impossible. The wave either ends up juiced up and goes north or you get it but precip if paltry. The Euro solution where we get close to a foot sounds amazing but so unrealistic.
  6. Why not just break out the weekend event into a separate thread as well?
  7. Just suckering us in before the inevitable shift north.
  8. I think I'm going to end up just shy of 2 inches. I got in some of the band early today that I think was slightly west of you. But since that first band, it's done nothing and the snow on the ground is actually melting faster than the little bit of snow falling is accumulating. Streets are either just wet or slushy now.
  9. I just hope it's not the fail above where we look north again and see big totals and get another crap mixed bag down here.
  10. Fell apart again as it approached. Had some bigger flakes trying to mix in but back to white rain again. One of these days we are going to get a normal snowstorm again, and it will be amazing.
  11. Basically white rain for the past couple of hours. Areas of the street and driveway that were covered are now melting and turning to slush. Congrats to those that got the good banding for long periods of time. Some of you might end up close to 6 inches.
  12. Agreed. This little bit of light snow would have accumulated better at night.
  13. Same. This second band has been really disappointing. Thought it would thump, but it's just light snow with big flakes.
  14. Should be better for you now. I'm in between bands now so I'm getting what you probably were. Basically white rain here right now.
  15. You are too far east for the band I've been getting for almost a couple hours now. Maybe it will pivot east and get you. The back edge is definitely advancing east pretty quickly.
  16. No doubt. I'm over the disappointment at this point. It's snowing hard and it's a beautiful morning. Going to end up in the 3-6 range with a shot at some more winter weather over the next few weeks.
  17. Massive flakes. Street is covered. Grass blades are almost completely covered.
  18. Steady snow. Dusting on the grass. Starting to stick to sidewalks and parts of driveway. Guessing if it can snow like this through noon, 2-4/3-6 would verify.
  19. Down to 36. Doubt it starts as rain here.
  20. Radar would make you believe a major storm is coming. Kinda baffling the models are showing what they are.
  21. 12k on Weatherbell is way better than the usual 10:1 map, which is basically a disaster. Crazy how this has trended away from us. This area simply cannot catch a break the past five years. Maybe the late week event will finally break our way.
  22. Seems like everything is still on the table at this point. I would take Millville's 4-7 with spots up to 9 and run with it right now given some of the trends. Agree with PSU that, with marginal temps, we looked great with 1-2+ inch per hour rates, but now that the models are lightening up on qpf, it's easy to go from 4-8 to almost nothing due to rates not allowing the snow to accumulate.
