  1. Rumbling here too. 0.55" so far
  2. Freaking pouring here this morning.
  3. It has not happened yet though. Possible it may in the years to come. His area could become the equivalent of the western NC Piedmont climo. Yours would be like SE coastal NC. So are you predicting this with confidence?
  4. I've moved on to voddy tonics.
  5. Good stuff. It will sneak up on ya. I bought the wine sized bottle.. my intention was not to drink it all tonight. Oh well!
  6. ^This is what happens when you are working from home and start drinking at noon.
  7. I think I will go with the Founders KBS for Friday Happy Hour. Cheers!
  8. The three big storms in 2009-10 all started out with marginal temps that fell as the storm got going. I recall the first Feb storm, the temp was 37 when it started snowing, but within an hour it was in the low 30s with moderate snow, then most of the storm it was in the mid 20s.(amazing how that happens when we have everything in the right places with a feed of cold, dry air- complete opposite of this winter). The follow up storm a few days later actually was rain here for a while before the mid level low moved over and temps crashed into the 20s in an all out blizzard. The coldest storm by far that winter was the late Jan cold powder event with temps in the mid teens. Ended up with 7-8'" of fluff here, and I actually enjoyed that one almost as much as the biggies- probably some of it had to do with it trending better and better in the last couple days leading up. Looked like a sure miss to the south at one point.
  9. The place I went to is now carry out only- they have the front door opened with a table there and you tell them what you want and they go grab it. No one goes in the store. edit- more accurate to say they carry it out to you lol.
  10. Accomplished. Picked up some KBS, Oskar Blues TENFIDY Imperial barrel aged, and DFH WWS.
  11. Speaking of Russia, I am on a quest for Imperial stouts today. Need a few good ones in the fridge.
  12. Finally got around to watching Parasite today. Damn. That went some places.
  13. It's been sunny and gorgeous here all day. 60 currently.
  14. Wintry feeling/looking morning as the sun came up. Temp at 32.
  15. Mine started just after noon today. This work from home thing is dangerous.
  16. Just annoying intermittent light rain here. 0.18" so far. My yard needed an underperformer.
  17. First day I have been rather bored since working from home lol. Its noon, and its happy hour... some place.
  18. An Imperial I fell in love with(damn near perfect for my taste) is Ralphius barrel aged Russian Imperial Stout, from Free Will Brewing in PA. Amazing.
  19. I prefer imperial stouts. Most have hints of dark chocolate, coffee, and sometimes dark fruit, esp the super high gravity ones. As for breakfast/coffee stouts, there are a few really good ones, and many that miss the mark. Hard to beat Founders Breakfast Stout. Some good local ones too from Evo and RAR. Flying Dog's coffee Porter is pretty good. Its the Kujo, which was originally an Imperial coffee stout, and it was excellent. Sucks they stopped making it.
  20. Good to see the really heavy stuff SE of me. LOL I will not be saying that come late June I am sure. Wont be able to buy a raindrop when we are at peak sun.
  21. I noticed the latest WPC qpf cut back some on amounts- so they must be giving some weight to the GFS shift south in recent runs. Any idea what the Euro is depicting? I selfishly want this to be a weak sauce event here lol. Been too wet for my liking.
  22. If yesterday's event had happened a month or so earlier, in another winter, I would have had 10" of snow here.
  23. I try to wait until 2 or 3 pm. I did well today, almost 4. Legit happy hour, after "work".
  24. Looks like 0.76" is the total here unless something pops up this evening. 3.20" for the month. Its been pretty wet. Wish I could save some of this for July- when I will likely be struggling to save my grass, again.
  25. Gotta say, working from home is not bad. Grab a beer whenever, do a workout when I want. Go outside and get some stuff done. I am sure this social isolation thing will get old, but not minding it right now. And it is for the greater good, and is necessary.
