This is exhibiting hysteria on the other end.

    COVID-19 Talk

That is a pretty general, and not very personal question. I mean, you advertise that you have 3 residences and their locations right under your display name.

Well there are plenty of "shiitheads" here, yes. Noise is easily filtered.

    COVID-19 Talk

I don't see it. A lot of people are misinformed because their primary source of "factual" information is what they read on Facebook and Twitter. I have little use for social media. The data is pretty clear that young, healthy adults are at a low risk of dying from this, or even getting seriously ill.

    COVID-19 Talk

Well I think that is the point. It is a novel virus, so we don't have either, yet the silly comparisons to car crashes and people dying in their pools continues by folks that "should" know better.

Generally agree. As for those "protests", they are nothing more than a staged shiit show by one very specific group.

lol I just realized he was referring to Phin, not Dr Phil. lol I got that finally.

    COVID-19 Talk

Yeah. I am as anxious as anyone to get back to some semblance of normalcy, but it will only happen over time, will require efficient and widely available testing, and continued protective measures- social distancing and especially in workplaces- required PPE. Fox news giving airtime to these quacks to try and "counter" the true experts like Fauci is absurd, counterproductive, but totally expected.

For those who still insist on downplaying COVID by comparing it to everything from car accidents to swimming pool deaths, including quacks/tv docs like Dr Phil and Oz, this graph is pretty telling. https://www.thenewatlantis.com/publications/not-like-the-flu-not-like-car-crashes-not-like
  10. Yeah the Goose Island stouts are good. My go to ones are DFH WWS, TenFidy, KBS, and some others. I need to find some place locally that sells Ralphius from Free Will Brewing. Picked that up when I was in PA during the winter and it is simply outstanding if you like the high gravity stuff. Its about the same as WWS, around 17%.
  11. Yes. Very good dessert stout. Lots of complexity, but it all works. Not had the ones with peanut butter or mint. Southern Tier used to brew a decent mint one. I am more into the big ass imperials, but I try about anything when it comes to stouts.
  12. I'm a big fan of RAR. I probably should try a sour from them.
  13. Picked up a 4 pack of Hazelnut Mocha Latte imperial stout from True Respite. I'll be into one of those here shortly.
  14. Not a big Sour fan, but the Key Lime Pie is intriguing.
  15. I just bought plants yesterday for my deck, but didn't pot them yet so I can bring those in. The ones out in the yard I will just cover.
  16. I normally don't until early May, but it literally looked and felt like we were in Spring by mid February. I planted some annuals just a week or so ago. I shall have to cover up a few of my "tender plants" I suppose.
  17. Just hoping for another random bomb cyclone I can chase.
  18. Anyone watching Westworld? It's like a completely different show this season, but I am living for it.
  19. 36 with some snowflakes mixed in here.

As long as people don't create an alcohol shortage, like they did with TP, we might all make it through this with our sanity.

Yup. People better get used to social distancing/gloves/masks. It is the new normal. A vaccine is probably a year away. Forget sports, concerts etc. Not happening.
