  1. Y'all should stop engaging with PDIII about this. He is still going to breakfast buffets.
  2. Well, I think it has been pretty well established that those who are advanced in age and/or have underlying conditions are most at risk of dying from this virus. In Italy, the culture is very close knit- multiple generations of families spending more time together than other places in general. This would naturally increase the risk for older folks. Other factors include increased testing relative to other places, and specifically how they determine the cause of death.
  3. In strategic shift, doctors in America's two largest cities are told to skip some coronavirus testing https://www.cnn.com/world/live-news/coronavirus-outbreak-03-21-20-intl-hnk/h_78c431662464112a27434663a0860cdc
  4. Its Saturday, 3pm. Sheltering in place. Must be HH! I think I will sip on this DFH WWS.
  5. Its been pretty wet here lately. Just about 2.5" for the month, and much of that over the last 10 days. Looks like an area wide 1 inch deal for Monday, then another possible event by Wed. The seasonal wetland in the woods on the back part of my property was unseasonably dry 2 weeks ago. just a small puddle in one place. It is rapidly expanding now. Just ordered more larvicide. It looked for a while like I might just need to drop a few dunkers here and there. By the end of this week I will probably have to "seed" the whole area.
  6. Looks like the showers here may be moving out. Picked up 0.21" so far. Wasn't really expecting much of anything. Lots to do outside so hopefully we get some rapid clearing later this morning. Tomorrow looks like a great day, followed by a soaking rain for Monday.
  7. Surprised to see heavy rain this morning. Literally pouring right now.
  8. Just drank an Eastern Shore Brewing 'Strawberry Shakedown'. It just looked too "weird" not to try it. It is a DIPA and I thought it was freaking delicious.
  9. Sure looks like it will be quite different feeling tomorrow. Too bad all the dynamics are well north with the front. Weak sauce showers moving through down here.
  10. Perhaps we should make a separate COVID-19 thread. I know some are annoyed by the virus discussion taking over banter. Plus it is clearly difficult to completely separate politics from the discussion. With no sports to discuss, at least banter can get back to focusing on beer and booze. @WxUSAF?
  11. ^I think someone may have missed the sarcasm.
  12. It's no ones fault. The CHINESE virus is gonna wreck our economy though.
  13. It will wash through. Nothing to see here. Plus it's warm today!
  14. Not sure why some people continue to insist on making this comparison. It is what it is. Let em have at it if it helps them feel better. Yup, they are exactly the same, in one's own truthiness I suppose. I give up.
  15. Its been over for a long time, folks. Get out and enjoy the sun and 80 degree temps. Just keep 2 meters apart. Too bad the chances for decent convection later on looks meager on guidance. Another thing we perpetually suck at.
  16. 76/64 at noon. I knew we would see some early June weather in March. lol @ Winter. And Spring.
  17. I noticed that too in general. I am working from home today and all of next week. I will be like a hermit. With booze.
  18. Was very summer like here an hour ago. 73, sunny, humid, and breezy. Then the clouds rolled in with some light showers.
  19. Check PDIII's post above. Thus why I used quotes.
  20. 72 at 930 am. gonna be a hot one lol
  21. Agreed. Certainly no indication the "FDA found a cure". https://www.thedailybeast.com/anti-malaria-drug-to-be-made-available-to-coronavirus-patients-almost-immediately-trump-says
  22. Made it to 62 here, even with lots of sun the last few hours. Back door did its thing today to some extent. Tomorrow will be a different story. Low 80s looks like a good bet here.
  23. I doubt the antibiotic had much of an impact, unless the virus produces a secondary bacterial infection. Antibiotics are not effective against a virus.
  24. Still forecasting a high of 71 here. Currently cloudy and 58.
