  1. I was in the 4-10" area. Yeah 8" of wet snow at 32 degrees piled up here early on, but the second half of the storm was 40 degree driving rain. An historic storm for the interior for sure, esp the mountains.
  2. Oh I agree. It was just a heavy wet snow to rain deal here though. Then all the waterlogged slush froze solid as the cold air came back in at the end. Probably not even a top 20 storm here as winter storms go. This is a MBY business, as we are all well aware of here.
  3. Yeah like, why is Lamar still in this game?
  4. Who woulda thunk? Being able to test on the reg. track, and immediately quarantine if needed is nice too.
  5. Lamar doesn't need to run. He is dealin'.
  6. That storm sucked on all of the coastal plain of the MA.
  7. 24 - 6 at the half and they weren't really that impressive overall. Browns moved the ball well, but, they are the Browns. D needs to tighten up!
  8. Is September actually going to behave like a Fall month for once?
  9. @nw baltimore wx Did you find a place to drink a beer in Dover?
  10. 59 here this morning. Super nice stretch of weather. Low 70s for highs on Tuesday with dews in the 40s.
  11. Oh damn that sucks. The GN? I'm about 20 mins from there.
  12. Very green here with all the rain over the last couple months. This time last year there were a bunch of leaves coming down prematurely because of stress due to the dry conditions.
  13. Those little goblins can wear masks and socially distance while collecting their teeth rotting stash of refined sugar crap. Now that I am old, I think its a terrible ritual.
  14. 73 here. High for the day. Feels great with that breeze.
  15. I don't go to Dover a lot for food/beer, but if you are looking for a place to grab lunch and a beer(assuming they are doing dine in) 33 West Ale House and Grille is a place I have been a few times and its very good. Food is good and good craft beer selection.
  16. I am guessing these folks know nothing about beer brewing, or history.
  17. Speaking of heights, and thoughts of crisp cool nights..
  18. The height at which you will find 500 mb of pressure in the atmosphere.Typically we talk in terms of height anomalies. The higher up the 500 mb level is, the warmer the column of air below that point. Its a good indication of surface temps in most cases, although inversions and advection can mess with that correlation. In the summer months it translates to big heat when we have +height anomalies over the east.
  19. Dry is good. No significant rain for the next 5 days would be wonderful.
  20. 2.02" Hopefully that is about it.
  21. This is why you read the headlines and the AFD. The mesos were all over the place with exactly where the localized heavy rains would set up, even this morning. My local forecast had 1-2 for today, and it looks pretty spot on as of now. Further NW was more iffy based on most guidance, so probably why LWX went more generic/conservative with amounts on the point/click. And again, WPC highlighted the risk for excessive rains for DC-BWI-PHI and points east yesterday.
  22. That was my ****ing point. Try actually reading for context next time.
  23. You are never going to see a forecast of 4-6" when the convection is scattered in nature. Come on. Read the headlines. There was a FFW put into effect. Read the forecast discussions. Read the WPC outlooks and meso discussions. There was a MPD put out at 1245 PM today highlighting the FF risk for the DC area. The excessive rain potential was well advertised in advance, and localized amounts of 5" were highlighted.
