GFS has been pretty bad in the LR recently. It likes cold and snow too much.

Probably enhanced by differential heating- the bay is cold and the strong sun this time of year heats the land(esp with dry soil) very efficiently.

You really don't understand how NWP works, and how to utilize model guidance as a tool for forecasting. Or maybe you do and just have an agenda. Probably the latter. Either way these posts are super fucking boring and dumb.

Easterly flow has commenced. The warmth of a couple hours ago has been replaced by a flow off the ocean. Temp down to 59 after a high of 72.

The overall h5 pattern could have been a lot worse than this, particularly in a weak Nina, which are among the crappiest winters historically for the MA. Luck plays a role. Good sensible weather outcomes for some and not so good for others in our sub forum this winter. Short and longer term trends wrt the indices play a role, among other things.

1.24" total Heard peepers when I walked outside this morning.

Soaking rain overnight. 1.18" and still raining.

Notably missing this Spring is the sound of peepers, which usually starts in late Feb. So dry.

Local stations have recorded gusts in the 30s here, but looking at the treetops on my property gusts have to be 40+ just off the surface.

Winds have been 20-25 with gusts of 30 since around noon here. Sun making an appearance now. 70/60 currently. Noticed this area is now in the marginal risk for severe. Nothing earlier. Little warmer/juicier than forecast perhaps.

MA Spring/early Summer preview today. Feeling those higher dewpoints. Temp is 68. Legit sweating doing light yardwork.

WPC qpf map has a min along/SE of I-95, but still looks like a half inch+. There will be the usual have nots that get less. My wetland is still dry which is crazy, so although I want some rain I would rather not have a deluge.

Yes had an hour or so of sun but back to mostly cloudy now. Temp shot up to upper 50s
