There will still be wintry threats after the warm stretch…still some snow chances next week…especially up here. March gonna March. But we’re transitioning jjust like we do in September.

I would bet it’ll get cold again later in March/early April with maybe another chance of accumulating snow after this warm spell. No other reason other than experience and seeing this all before. I think it’ll be the False Spring narrative; some years people want to get out and garden on the first warm days, etc. It’s like the first frost; Indian summers always occur afterwards. It’ll be like winter’s last number late in the month. .

By next weekend he’s going to be looking out at the torch spots every hour to see what has melted. He’ll probably try to convince himself not much has changed hour by hour as the bare spots grow more in size. He’ll start taking the “long” way home which consists of heavy shade to help calm his fears.

dense sugary snow, terrible growth but its coming down good. roads completely covered despite the temps around 33, low sun angle this morning and overnight temps in the upper 20s helped with that

You’re drunk. Nobody said sustained 70s. But I do think we have at least 1-2 very mild to warm days. And that’s sandwiched in between some mild days. Won’t be sunny and pretty all the time though and we’ll have rain with it. That’s a massive Bermuda high next week. Always a CAD risk but if there was a pattern to torch that’s it.

Snowing much harder than radar would suggest roads are terrible with this grainier snow..

Seems to be one last band coming through your area. After that, not sure if much will develop.

He’s a magic man

Well, now that we’re in the last day of February, we should go back to those important questions inspired byGlozelle. I would say that for a good number of us the answer to our question”is we back?”, would be yes as a good number of us had their second 15 inch + storm of the winter and for some areas this was even historic over 30. Even some of our most forlorn had 2 20 inch+ storms within a few weeks of each other.The whole region had great snow cover for most if not the entire month, and for many of us this snow cover went back, mostly at least until the end of November/beginning of December.So it did feel like a real February and a real winter, and I think we is back.
