Down on the NJ shore the NWS is now forecasting major tidal flooding for Barnegat bay at Barnegat light gauge

Was thinking venison, duck, halibut…in that order plus some oysters haha. We’ve been to Whalers/Molly Malone’s many times and enjoyed it. The Fat Fish is ok and Capt Bill’s is always great.

I'm really curious what the algorithm is (and this could vary by vendor) for the wind gust output products. I would presume its something as simple taking the wind at the top of the models forecast of the mixing height and bringing that to the surface. If that is true, that could explain why the gust products are more underwhelming in this situation. With a subtle inversion present just above the ground, the model mixing heights may be meh (probably barely mixing beyond a several hundred feet) but we'd probably mix deeper than that, particularly a bit inland from the shoreline.

I live in brightwaters, 5 minutes from the LH. We go there too much($$$) Easily a top 5 restaurant on the island. If you like duck, theirs is the best. Unfortunately they flood very easily.

Euro is very meh with winds. Again wondering about upwellling.
