Avdave Posted yesterday at 01:51 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:51 AM Today was a splendid fall day. Temps in the mid 50s, windy, leaves blowing around, cool, I loved it. Still not cold enough for jeans or a jacket so still short sleeves and shorts for me. Steady rain this morning was nice as well. Picked up .67" in the PWS today. I felt like I was back in North Jersey in Late October.

suzook
Only bottomed out to 48 this morning, guessing because of the wind. This wind has been consistent with 25MPH gusts since Friday night. Hopefully they subside today, so outdoor activities can be enjoyed. Haven't felt air this crisp since April.

WinstonSalemArlington
It’s neat that we instantly have gone from a weather regime wherein highs in the 80s predominated to one wherein highs in the 60s predominate.

Is anyone seeing significant colors yet? I expect higher elevations almost certainly are, but what about those at 1,000 feet or lower? Here, the deciduous trees are almost all still green. By the end of the week, however, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few starting to change even this far SE near sea level.

yotaman
46 was our low down towards the coast. Winds kept it from going lower. Coldest since mid May.

NorthHillsWx
Hit 41.7 yesterday morning. Picked up 0.61” Saturday which brings MTD to 2.43”
NorthHillsWx
Not sure the SE as a whole sees much/any more rain through the end of the month. This weekends system was very welcome as it dropped generally at least 0.5” across most of the state. With the strong offshore low, temps have trended way down this week and a beautiful fall weather pattern looks to be locked in!
