Same here. The lv got screwed again. The models cannot handle the dryness.  The corn is smiling again. All we have gotten is the bad wind damage

I suspect, but I can’t stay with certainty that the forecasting accuracy has gotten far worse for a place like the Lehigh Valley. I could be talking out of my rear, but I just wonder if overreliance on computer modeling eliminates the way that local human meteorologist would take into account other factors, such as local elevations, microclimates, stable airflows, etc.

Models just don't do well with setups like this in general. Everything is dependent on the exact placement of outflow boundaries with respect to terrain. Any marginal error in timing, placement, strength of cold pool, etc will result in a completely different evolution of these storms

Some light showers have been around this morning, and we will continue with some small chances of these through the day. We clear up tomorrow with what looks to be our best weather day of the week with sunny skies and highs several degrees below normal July levels in the upper 70's to near 80. Our next chance of showers and storms looks to arrive on Thursday night into Friday morning.

Glad for the heat break today.  Only made it to 75 for a high after a low of 65.  Also managed to get 0.02" between 1am - 2 am (event total now 3.09").

Currently 73 with dp 68.

It was a gorgeous day today... loved my morning walk in the mist/fog with the pup and my better half... loved that I was able to go for a run and not sweat 10 gallons, and am loving sitting on the porch listening to the birds and the kids playing outside (I could however do without the Mister Softee jingle in the background... but you can't have everything, I guess... :)))

Yesterday's high here in East Nantmeal was only 72.7 this set a new low maximum temperature for the date set back in 2005 of 73.7. Another below normal temperature day today with highs not far from 80 degrees. Shower chances increase tomorrow afternoon and again on Friday into Friday night. Temperatures remain near normal through the weekend before warming a few degrees above with highs by the middle of next week in the mid to upper 80's. Does not look like any return of 90 degree plus reading across the county for the foreseeable future.

A flood watch is in effect through midnight for the potential of some heavy rain. Some isolated spots could see the rain fall at 1" to 2" per hour. No doubt with our rain deficit let's hope we all see some beneficial rain today! Additional shower chances tomorrow before we start to clear out on Saturday. Today will be our 4th straight day with below normal temperatures this should continue through the weekend before we warm to normal on Tuesday in the mid-80's and above normal with near 90 by Wednesday. It looks like great weather for the All-Star Game in Philly next week.
