Is this controversial? I honestly don’t hate the sleet as long as we get the snow thump(which we did). If we can grab 2-3” of sleet for an even 10” glacier, I’ll be beyond happy.

2:20PM Whitehall Twp - Was nearly exclusively heavy sleet over the last hour.  Flakes making their way back for more of a 50/50 mix.

If KamuSnow still does his snow mound, sleet is gold along with a week of below freezing temps. A mid week refresher would be the ultimate...

Not here all sleet here with mangled snow crystals 17.2f humidity 93% dew point 15.  Yea there’s no liquid in this I would see it on the cars.

I think the NAM was taking it as a long duration (into Monday) event for whatever frozen ptype was going to fall.  Since this is pulling a lot of moisture from the Gulf, it could continue to go for some time as long as it doesn't get blocked too much.

Added a map below from the SE and you can see the firehose of warm moisture coming out the Gulf.

I have switched back to mostly fine show and hear very little pingers but at the rate the flakes are falling, it *might be* a rain/snow mix.

Checked and am back to about 50/50 snow/sleet (can definitely hear the pingers again).  Not seeing accretion so if there was rain mixed it, it may have been FRDZ.

Currently 15 with dp 13.

That may have been what I have been seeing.  It was coming down like white rain and not as pingers but apparently didn't last long enough for accretion (so far) and am back to mostly pingers/snow.

0.7" of sleet at 2:45.  Makes the snow/sleet total 6.0".  19.5F

Went out and did a couple test passes with the blower (see pic) - to my surprise the 1.3" of sleet since noon was easily handled by the blower. I will go back later assuming we see more sleet accumulation. Snow/sleet for the day is now up to 11.1"

It seems a mile or 2 above rt 22  has been the cutoff of sleet watching the cc for past 2 hours. I'm half mile or so north of it and mostly sleet with some flakes now and then.

Just measured the board.  Currently puking sleet again and measured 1" of it.    That would bring my snow/sleet total to 5".  Temp now "up to" 16 with dp 14.
