Foothills weather Mets seem certain there's going to be a minimum with less than 3 inches of snow for us up to Mt Airy

Yea several of the regulars keep pointing out concern for McDowell, Burke, Rutherford. This is one I’m keeping low expectations and hope for a major surprise.

Well their justification is that you’ll get downsloped as the meso low pulls away, which is logical, but I think my point is that undersells the meso low. The accumulation will have already happened by then for the most part. As soon as we slack on flow, it’s a downsloping issue all the way to charlotte. It doesn’t discount the thumping that happens before then.

This past weekend storm, it showed a lack in precip when compared to the globals. The actual QPF was a lot closer to what the NAM was showing 24 hrs before the storm than what any of the globals had.

I’ll disagree with that, I got family that lives in Louisville ky and they got nammed big time but the euro won that battle up there

Yeah I think its all perspective. Generally I only look at the NAM 3K for p types and to get a general idea where heaviest precip will be. HRRR looks ok. Nothing special and not like the Euro though.

I really do think it does a good job finding a warm nose , but on snow totals yeah been there done that and lost many times lol

It's weird because it looks like decent echoes on simulated radar for hours yet totals are meager. 2-4 generally for us despite decent returns. Dry air.

We need to be as close to that ULL as possible. Compare the positions of the ULL on runs we like vs runs we don’t. She’s getting a bit too far south now.

But the Euro was farthest south and had highest totals for MBY.

The difference IMO seems to be how soon it goes from Neutral to negative tilt.
