Been unbelievably dry in Georgia. We got 0.15" on Easter and that's been it since that cold front in mid-March. I coach baseball and softball and the kids are all complaining that the clay's dried up so much it feels like they're sliding on concrete. On the bright side, we haven't had a single rainout yet (knocking on wood). FFC says this is our greatest drought (D2-D4) coverage since 2007. 2/3 of the state in at least extreme drought.

No there wasn’t enough precip with that system even in the heaviest snow areas to make a dent in this drought

Looking highly likely this will be the 3rd in last 6 months with less than 1” total precip here. Historic dry stretch for triangle

At KSAV, they’ve had their driest Jan 1-Apr 17 (3.3”) and 2nd driest Sep 1-Apr 17 (9.9”) to 1931-2 on record back to 1871-2:

Today’s Euro Weeklies almost as wet as yesterday’s for 4/27-5/3 in SE. This is ~1.1-1.7” for the SE averaged out. Fingers crossed. I’d like to stop irrigating for awhile. Plus we have restrictions.
