Well, the GFS is showing a snow threat here next Friday, but it's been looking less and less impressive the last couple of runs. Also had another system for the 19th that was snow and is now rain. Euro has just been showing rain for both systems. Hard to get on board the hype train without the Euro showing snow and the GFS being less impressive with each run.

FWIW, the Euro AI was better for the first wave, and the 2nd storm was more for the mountains.

Yep.  Certainly not the GFS but definitely better than the 0z.

A lot to ask thr Euro to trend to the GFS. Usually it's the other way around when we actually get snow.

Still many days to go and a lot of wiggle room to go with it. Only one piece of energy is on land right now and even that piece is over Alaska.

On the second wave, the Ukie looked like it was about to unload. We really need the energy to dig further southwest. Dropping through Missouri isn’t super favorable for the southeast. It works for the mid Atlantic but I’d like to get to a final solution that bottoms out somewhere near Louisiana.

I actually like the potential showing on the Euro better than the GFS.

Euro has a bomb just off shore for storm 2.
