Winter 25/26 General Obs

Thought I would create a general obs thread for winter in case anyone sees some snow this AM and of course for the rest of the winter. 

@Knoxtron looks like some temps are between 34 and 36 down your way. Some radar returns down in. NE Alabama look snow-like: 

 

Wouldn't be surprised if you, or John, or one of our Cumberland county folks get a quick dusting.

Been spitting sleet for the last 2 hours, nothing sticking but pretty nonetheless. Currently 33 after a high of 40 around 6am. 

 

My 4 year old is not impressed with the "snow" and had a mini meltdown as he assumed snow meant feet deep... lesson learned haha

We had some steady snow this morning but it was 34 and didn't stick on the wet ground.  It's currently flurrying.

Had another decent snow shower about 20 minutes ago. Not showing up on radar at all.

Need to get him a handle and have him join the forum.  He will fit right in with the rest of us!!!  Haha!

It's been snowing here off and on all day. Mostly sticking to the trees which is pretty.

About to get another heavy snow shower it appears. The mountain to the west has disappeared in a snow cloud. Should be here in a few minutes. Still holding at 34.

Heaviest snow so far ongoing... eh flizzard is closer to accurate. Currently 30° with 0 radar returns.

Hahaha I probably will when we start chasing the next big snow storm.  

 

It's hilarious hearing a 4 year old correct other kids on meteorology, be on the lookout for a future James Spann in the coming years

Same here. First snow of the system. A decent light snow.
