Leave it for me to have a long weekend planned in Hilton head this weekend. Grrrr. Rainy and windy today and tomorrow....FUN??? Yet back at home in the ATL area gonna be beautiful with Sunshine and 80. As a matter of fact looks to be in the low 80's with sunshine for the next 10 days. DRY as a bone around here.

This is the worst coastal flooding event not associated with a TC (aka king tide) I’ve ever personally witnessed.

It reached 10.35’ at Ft. Pulaski at 11:36AM very near the 10.4’ that had been forecasted the last couple of few days:

High of only 68 today. Up to .76" in the bucket so far today.

I’ve gotten 0.20” the last 24 hours ending 11PM this evening from the trough coming out of the low then off of FL. About all of it fell overnight through mid morning.

 I’ve received 2.2” MTD.

About 1/2” so far. Seems to be meeting expectations. We needed this widespread rainfall. Downright raw right now with a gusty N wind, 60 degrees and moderate rain

Yes...we need this rain so bad. Unfortunately, west of here will not cash in much. I am afraid about the upcoming fire season in the mountains

 As has been forecasted for the last few days, areas of light rain on the backside of the nor’easter are beginning to pivot down into this area as of 10AM. This is despite these same forecasts correctly having had no rain the last 24 hours. Totals today should be light.
