ncjoaquin
NWS forecasting .16 inches for Candler for the next 3 days. Already had .33 yesterday. Hard to believe this line will just produce .16 inches of rain.
Maggie Valley Steve
It looks like the line has broken up. Hopefully we'll get some beneficial rain before the strong cold front arrives next Thursday night or Friday.

Met1985
Looks like Thursday we could see a line of severe storms come through early in the morning then possibly some flakes on the back end of this cold front.Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
Met1985
Still looking like we go from storms to possibly some flakes Thursday in the high terrain. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk

Maggie Valley Steve
Tomorrow marks the end of the ski season at Cataloochee. It was a good Winter for the Maggie Valley area and baring any snow in the Valley tomorrow evening and early next week, we're ready to roll into Festival Season in April!
Met1985
I know everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather, but reality is about to hit again. Looks like we get some very heavy rainfall with storms tonight, then a quick changeover to possibly a heavy burst of snow with maybe some flow snow on the back end. GoAPPS
As Met pointed showed above, the GFS and now several short-range models are showing a deformation zone forming as the trough goes neutral and the cyclone begins occluding, wrapping moisture back into the colder air mass on the northwest side of the system. The window is very narrow, so odds are low, but it could surprise some folks with a burst of snow.
wncsnow
I see multiple shots of cold the next 15-20 days.

Watauga, Ashe/Allegheny counties, verbatim heavy snow. 10am-1pm timeframe.

Buckethead
Havent even had a chance to go this year. Is that the Toe?Yup, right by Lynn Peterson's store. They're hitting everything I tried. Even stuff I've never caught a thing on was working everywhere all the way down to Poplar. I caught a nice Brown too, btw. Buckethead
Nice! We need a forum fishing trip for sure. Cane River used to have amazing smallie fishing. Havent been since Helene. Every inch of that river has changed after Helene. When I have another warm weekend free, I'm going to start learning the new spots. Met1985
We literally go from storms to snow. Must be crashing temps right around 5 and 6 because that's when it looks to hammer. For posterity measurements, it's currently 65 degrees at 9am...Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
Maggie Valley Steve
Storms are puttering out as they approach the Mountains. Unless those storms in Mississippi maintain along the frontal boundary, we may not see that much in the way of beneficial rainfall. I'm not expecting any snow here in the Valley. Perhaps we'll see some snow covered ridges above 4k. We'll see.
