Central PA Summer 2025

Recommended Posts

As July builds we probably see less rain, more heat, but chance for big mcs systems overnight crashing down from the lakes. Also opens up the Deracho wild card possibility. Tropical in play as well. 20250714_220211.jpg

This summer is giving me 2011 vibes. That whole year was bonkers with 73.73".

I actually use that year as a benchmark for unsettled warm season weather and it may not be the best reference point, because everything else seems like child's play to me. The thing that I'll never forget and sucked the most is that I couldn't kayak anywhere in central pennsylvania, because it was just too g****** dangerous for a good portion of the warm season.

You could have kayaked down some streets not far from where I was living in New Cumberland that September when the Yellow Breaches went crazy

I was just telling two of my best buddies about the fellows on the forum not being real, happy with the weather lately, and they just couldn't understand what there was to complain about.
I still remember during Lee when the entire ground just waved the the white flag and quit absorbing water. Took minutes for all lawns to start forming massive lakes
