The caveat being, one has to be free to engage in some water based activity. If I had to be at the office, forget about it. I went paddling with the wife midday and happily took a dip, actually a few. Felt great of course. The only time I really swim is if it’s 90+.

And I will admit to driving around with the windows down to fully embrace it for a bit but it is far from my preferred weather type.

See, thats why it should be 100, not 98 or 99, which leaves you feeling unsatisfied. Just get it to 100 for a day or two every summer and then let it be cooler for the rest of the summer. Tpalm5
Haven’t posted in a while, but I thought this sub would be interested for future weather events, I installed a Kestrelmet 6000 cellular weather station on top of Schunnemunk Mountain. It’s at 1,450’ elevation. Should be interesting for wind gusts and elevation based temp differences in the winter! Thanks Liberty, you’re not kidding! What a difference from the past number of days. AQI is 1 today which is pretty rare, compared to 100+ with the smoke!.

Needed the rain sorry to hear that you lost power. It got pretty rowdy here too. A good amount of Cloud to ground lightning a few brief gusts around 25-30 mph, no hail observed. 1.35” in the bucket from the storm, luckily still have power here. Hopefully you’re not down too long.

Thanks, really needed the rain though so I'll take the power outage. Looks like it's time to pull the generator out of the shed. Restoration estimate is 10:30 tonight
