Predict temperature anomalies for

DCA_NYC_BOS__ ORD_ATL_IAH__ DEN_ PHX_ SEA 

in F deg relative to 1991-2020 averages ("normals")

Deadline for on-time entries 06z Wednesday 1st of November 2023. 

Will open a winter snowfall contest entry with the December contest.

(Nov 15) _ After a few milder days, eastern regions look quite cold later in Nov, and western warm spell will eventually reverse to colder but not before a large surplus is built up at DEN and PHX. Based on projected anomalies, consensus score would be 692. 

(Nov 25) _ New projections a bit warmer in general, and overall consensus scoring 616.

Preliminary scoring to follow. 

(Nov 30) _ Final anomalies are being estimated today and will be fine tuned to actuals by Friday. Scoring will be adjusted. 

(Dec 1) _ All final anomalies now confirmed.

Each season is scored 10 points for high total score, then 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 for 2nd to 7th, and 1 point for anyone else who entered a minimum of 2/3 contests entered.

Congrats to Don Sutherland1 who blazed ahead in summer and autumn (top scores in both seasons). 

Wxallannj was a solid second scoring well in each season. 

hudsonvalley was third, with a top score in spring 2023. 

RodneyS fourth, RJay (top score winter 2022-23) and wxdude64 tied fifth
