Sydney Claridge
New TOR warning includes NE San Antonio metro area and New Braunfels. Seems to be some strong winds in that storm with perhaps some rain-wrapped rotation (though it seems broad). That said, the below screenshot doesn’t really seem to show rotation and seems to be a straight-line wind threat.

Edit: Looked like there might have been a TDS there at 0224 and 0226 UTC, but the warning statement didn't include that. They said "radar indicated rotation" instead of "radar confirmed tornado." It might even pass clear north of me at this rate, with most of it being in southern Denton county and still moving northeast Only got a few rumbles of thunder here. Not even a drop of rain from it. It also looks like it weakened significantly once it crossed over into Collin County. In any event, I'm calling it a night.
thunderbird12
Looks like roughly the northern half of Norman took some pretty serious damage from wind-driven hail last night. Lots of west-facing windows (for both houses and cars) blown out. Some people I know on the northwest side are probably going to have to replace their roof for the fourth time in ~10 years. I was about 1 mile south of the south edge of the hail core and I could hear it as it passed by to the north, even though there was no hail at my location. WhirlingWx
Truscott, TX tornado got rated EF3. Consider me surprised that OUN found damage indicators to rate it as such. Damage survey is linked below. National Weather Service Text Product Display I'm assuming that the rating was based on the bent steel utility poles? EDIT: Okay, my eyes totally glossed over this segment: As it approached County Road 2610 and FM 1756 a semi truck was knocked over and a 4000 pound cattle feeder was blown about 850 feet to the north-northeast.

Well, these last few days have saved it from being totally pathetic, but this April will still come in at only a little over 1/3 of average for tornado count, and just two EF3+ with this one added. radarman
Zero confirmed tornadoes in FWDs CWA in April. But several nasty hail events.
