My kiddo takes a gymnastics class in New Freedom, usually a 10 min drive up York for me.

A postscript on this weather event -- the 1008 mb low over the Mid-Atlantic moved east then northeast across Newfoundland where it deepened to 947 mbs. Westerly winds at St Johns airport gusted to 158 km/hr which is almost 100 mph on Saturday afternoon. Video on the news showed roofs coming off buildings and trees blowing around as in a cat-2 landfalling hurricane. Wrap-around snow squalls are creating zero visibility in 120 km/hr winds across most of the island and eastern Labrador tonight.
