Could be , i was outside two hours ago washing my truck in 32F weather lol, roads were down to the pavement.. Too bad only me and you are watching this haha.

I set my alarm for this, I saw the latest short term models hinting as some INSANE rates during this. It's only going to last 2-3 hours but these rates are insane. Seems like KBUF was dead center for the heaviest of this one, be interesting to see there totals later this morning.

This one came out of left field for me.  I figured we might get an inch overnight (per BUF's forecast).  When I heard school was cancelled, I assumed it was just for windchill.  Then I stepped into 1-2 feet of snow in my driveway...A good bit of that was from drifting - guessing maybe 4-6" new.

Decent burst of snow the last hour in Lancaster. Figured it was a streamer off Huron until I just checked radar. Looks like a little something off the mostly ice-covered Erie...

Yep it's coming down pretty good now, Maybe a final Hurrah from Erie? We shall see..

12-18" in and around Oswego today... Oswego picked up5" in 1 hour from 1-2pm. at my house nothing but sun and very windy all day other than the front moving through early this morning. Windy as hell all day.

Heard from my old work they were slammed up near Oswego. Those #s sound about right from what I heard...12+. I can see the dark cloud to the north, from my house...but that's about as close as we'll get to anything other than nuisance snow over the next week or so, it appears.

Kbuf at 80.8 inches on the year which is 22.2 inches above normal. See Ayuud told ya we would hit 100+ easy. With the long range pattern looking the way it does we will see much more synoptic snow than we have been. The pattern looks much more amplified in comparison to the progressive flow we've had for quite some time. The brutal cold will go away, thank goodness. I've had enough of this.

Since you missed it, here is a little recap I got.

Well. A single word best describes the 12Z GFS and apparently the Euro, from my perspective in CNY (and for points east): Disgusting. Cold with flurries, interspersed with synoptic rain (ok, mix to rain), for the foreseeable future. Hopefully that doesn't actually pan out and the mean storm track ends up a bit S&E from what 12Z shows. This has been an interesting meteorological Winter season. Any synoptic systems of note are either Cutters or out over the Benchmark. Lake effect in CNY has been mainly W or WSW flow, keeping LES mostly up on the Tug and towards Watertown, other than for very transient periods. Time for this winter to just go away.

Much better than two winters ago! Locally, not sure its better than last winter. Certainly colder. It has a good chance to beat last winter for total snow, IIRC we were around 100-110" IMBY. I think we are near 65-70" this winter, haven't added it up yet. Snow depth hasn't been impressive as you know. Every time we get to around 10-12", we have got a warmup and rain. I think that's happened 3x already, with this weekend and next week potentially #4.

Actually, my HS hometown of Hampton VA is looking at 6-10" tonight...which potentially beats or matches us for greatest synoptic snowfall so far this winter. And maybe last winter to boot.

http://www.co.jefferson.ny.us/Modules/ShowDocument.aspx?documentid=1675 that's where i got the number, Do you know how much they received so far though?

Wow, I am seeing anywhere from 90-115 inches so somewhere in between there for averages. I use this usually for current snowfall but Watertown doesn't show up while Roc and Buf do...weird. http://www.nws.noaa.gov/climate/index.php?wfo=buf
