What weather apps for iPhone do you have?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I just got an iPhone and was wondering what weather apps you guys have. I downloaded Radarscope and Hurricane but I am looking for apps with the following features:

-NWS local forecast discussions

-Forecast model maps (north American and tropics)

-SPC outlooks/discussions

-Space weather

-Climate outlooks

-Any other favorites you guys have

Thanks!

I currently use Weather TAP (free version) for lake trips to get a quick radar and storm tracks. It really hasn't failed me yet. I love it's little location/pinpoint area of your phone.

Definitely looking to upgrade to radarscope soon. $10 isn't too much as a one time payment to get much more detail in my opinion.

EDIT: I forgot I use my local news stations app (WISTV) to get storm alerts although it's not very good. I wish NOAA hadn't taken the SMS warning service away from citizens.

I've got:

- Radarscope

- WeatherGeek Pro

- Radio NOAA (uses Wunderground weather radio streams)

- Mesonet (from the Oklahoma Mesonet)

- MyWARN (uses the GPS feature in your phone to notify you if you are within an outlooked area, watch box, or warning polygon)

- uWeather (from Unisys)

- EF Scale (handheld reference to Damage Indicators and DOD)
