Sun finally popped out in western suffolk county. Any sun could help thing along, but the winds coming straight out of the south could ruin the party for the island as usual, but with the strong forcings going on it could override the lack of heating, but we will see.

I can hear loud rumbles of thunder and the nearest storm has to be at least 30 miles from me.. Really eerie.. By the way, if these are anything like the ones that came through Chicago the other day, we are in for a treat.. Good to be home..

We are happy to have you back in the part of the world where the pizza is flat!

I was about to say the same.

Looking at the radar, there is a wedge between the storms which, as seems to be the case over and again this year, is aimed directly at the city.

The two lines/storms overlap eachother too much for the city to get shafted. If the storms move more southeast then the northern line clips us. If they move more easterly then the storms in PA hit us.
