ski MRG Posted March 26, 2011 Share Posted March 26, 2011 Yeah who would suspect anyone with the kid wearing a whalepack pullover coat. I had a couple of friends who tried doing that as well. I always thought about doing it..especially in my early 20s when my memory and concentration were probably peak. Anyways we should have a more widespread gtg coming up in April or May. We've done it the past two years in Foxboro. I really want to make it tom the next one. May would work for me but April is tough as I'll be traveling and when I get back I'll be very busy catching up. I also think we should organize the first SNE Invitational golf tournament. I think there's in impromptu a week from Thursday in boston as well. Good dinner and a few drinks. I won't be out much past 11 that night have a plane to catch that Friday am. Hey now .. Ledyard is awesome... they've got Lantern Hill except the view is ruined by that monstrosity it's really sad what has happened to that town.. I have a friend whose dad built a amazing little wood stove heated A-frame there 20+ years ago. He's lived there ever since and works as an editor for the regional newspaper. When he built it the town was tiny mostly woods and farms.. no traffic. All of a sudden they built that monstrosity not two miles away and massive roadways and a lot of traffic comes in on the local roads too although they might have fixed that problem with the huge overpass they built. Oh and the legal shenanigans they used to get the thing built... The place lights up the night sky for miles and miles... it's almost the only thing you can see at night from on top of Lantern Hill . Not sure about that sewer smell.. could be the farms spreading manure.. that's a pretty distinctive smell.. not exactly the same as a sewer or swamp smell though. The Cape is quite beautiful and I enjoy visiting for fishing and golf. However, I'm a mountain person, I need lots of snow and steep terrain to be happy. I could never live in the south or mid-West.
