probably foolish but I'd sign the dotted line on this right now. I still haven't seen more than ~1" fall since I missed the jan. 6 storm. hopefully this is about worst-case

Upgraded to legit flurries in DC - no longer had to decide whether I was seeing moths or something in the lights.

GEFS took a nudge south - better cushion and a little snowier for most. Still a drool-worthy 24hr panel, even if it was better 24 hours ago

the default weather app and whatever appears on windows computer is showing tonight as snow... got a lot of questions on in the office. feeling pretty good about seeing a little sleet tonight before midnight even in downtown. Little skeptical of accretion... if I happen to be up early i'll see if we managed a glaze.

Can't quite capture the full precip of the 12z AIFS but it all looks like snow for most of us. Will check the new fancy Ptype maps soon.

Understand but this is kind of like social media. Enough people repeat the same thing in a bubble and it feels true. Hype builds and cascades and next thing you know my family says I lied when there isn’t a major snowstorm next week.

I’m guilty of it too but it’s those kind of things that make today feel like a rug pull. Constant “this feels like 2016 6 days out” comparisons. And tbf it did lol.
