  1. HRRR and 3k now look like the 12k. We probably flip to snow at some point, especially favored zones. Nothing sticks unless someone somewhere gets some heavy precip, then maybe at night with rates someone’s snowboard could get something. That’s how I see it
  2. I mean the 12k was okay. I guess there is a chance. I’m not staking my personal reputation and solid forum wide voodoo though
  3. all you chief - I’ll start the second thread that’ll bring the storm back from the brink… if it’s not already there
  4. 12z EURO actually flips folks to a bit of snow (well… probably a mix) Sunday afternoon/night
  5. I think I’m doing DC wrong. Maybe it’s cause I grew up in Arlington, but I’m counting down the days til it makes sense for me to move back into Arlington Anyway the euro is out to hour 60. Looks like rain
  6. Very different opinions from different sites on snow maps, regardless of the exact formula. Odd.
  7. EPS Control was a weenie run for having the chance to track stuff during a "dead" period. The storm that favors NE of us on Sun/Mon swipes PSU-land Back-to-back clippers swing in from Canada on Wednesday and Thursday leaving a general T-3" regionwide Reasonable sized storm for CVA the following Wednesday would be a very solid 10-day period starting this Sunday
  8. Yeah but I don’t care about the changes unless they result in a nice looking snow clown map [emoji6] /s… mostly
  9. 850s/925s are fine by NLT 6z for most. Need heavier precip to overcome surface temps the way WxBell is resolving it at least.
  10. This look of the snowfall on the Canadian makes more sense, if this "event" ever really had a chance for anyone
  11. weatherbell has it largely from 4-10am. SFC 34-36. I guess verbatim it's ripping but obviously weird. also including light snow out west on Tues
  12. Blowing snow off the DC roofs is pretty cool. Perpetual snow!
  13. I kinda think we don’t get to Feb 15 without two more threats. Will we stick the landing… probably not.
  14. Back in snowy DC. Will have to stay for a snowstorm here eventually… just prefer walking around a neighborhood with trees and grass while it snows!
  15. So just out of curiosity, what did the pattern look like this week? What does a pattern where DC can get two snows with basically no temp issues and hold snow cover for a week look like?
  16. It downtrended with everything else when things slid, but it did seem better than the HRRR/RPM. Too bad it’s basically impossible to access
  17. Could be worse https://x.com/ttasselwbal/status/1748501995093131391?s=46&t=YRAxGyE8QLsoshMtJniktg
