One thing worth noting on the NAM, perhaps, is that it seems very skeptical of freezing rain as the dominant non-snow Ptype. Lot of sleet, even way down south.

It got buried a bit, but folks are meeting at Succotash starting around 5pm on Thursday. I’m jotting down names and I’ll pass along my number in a group chat once we get a few. If folks are interested, LMK. I work very close and will get us a table in the upstairs bar zone.

Everyone has to remember that folks have different interests depending on their all important backyard. It’s not a coincidence the western and northern folks are more willing to make the trade off of some sleet for more snow…

Being totally skunked isn’t possible - we’d at least get like 4” of sleet if this really got screwed up somehow. Which isn’t as cool but it’s interesting

AIGFS is pretty hot. 1” QPF just north of DC. Don’t think any mixing issues.

I’d go to the upstairs bar portion, which is not all that classy. Nobody would turn you away. I wouldn’t come in covered in dirt but you’ll be fine.

Yep. This is looking like a sloppy phase. Upside is a fair bit higher than this run. And this run is still probably on the lower tier of the great runs we’ve had today.
