    Where’s my $5? Friends in NW Arlington say things have mostly shut off. Looks like about 7” there and in Charlottesville, per my other hobyyist friends with proper snowboards.

    The one thing about this storm working out is now we have to hold the GFS in high regard for a few weeks at least. Heck, the long range HRRR did well.

    My full focus is on Friday since I missed this one. Canadian does look nice. It's ens are little used (maybe for a reason) but they look solid as well. EURO ens have my fear that this storm goes more inland than I'd like. Still, not a bad run all told and trended much better from 12z yesterday (had 0.7" in DCA). The control hopped on board too.

    Pretty decent GEFS mean. My worst fear (for IMBY) is that this ends up a mountain storm while I-95 rains or something. Not much risk of that per these ens.

    The best thing to do is right click the image and hit “copy link address” or something like that. Works right from TTT/WxBell without the need for Imgur.

    I hope people aren’t disappointed when the 15” shown on the GFS is (most likely, could be wrong) 8-10” tomorrow. People need to remember that’s a huge win and where the models were 2 days ago.

    That was a rather inexplicable meltdown. Cut that in half and the storm is a success, those in the NW reaches should have expectations lower. C’mon folks.

    Counting on you to measure well tomorrow - need a Charlottesville ob for my records. 82/67 along the northern coast of Puerto Rico with 8-10ft waves offshore. Good luck tonight/tomorrow everyone — looking forward to seeing the leftovers Tuesday night. Gonna be tough getting the car out of the airport parking lot.

    That’s a very fair take and I should recognize my privilege but at the same time I imagine (not only imagine, know) others would also be equally bummed to miss what looks to be an upper-end moderate event. Fully recognize that your take is the correct and sensible one, though.

    I thought I had reached acceptance, but starting to get annoyed again that I’m very likely missing the best storm of the season. Oh well. More winter to come.
