It’s about the same, honestly. My attempted point was that snow maps aren’t showing the whole picture, GEFS and probably the EPS are showing prolonged mix-y conditions.

12z GEFS looks intriguing.

It’s probably going to all go out the window next run but the 18z EPS Control was going to go 3/3 on winter threats this week... nothing that impressive but a dusting with the ULL on Sunday, dusting with the clipper on Monday, and a light event looks incoming on Wednesday.

18z EURO looks more like the ICON... I'll be curious to see the ens.

ICON really cranks the low on the 4th/5th. Almost certainly out of the reach of anyone but the NEMD/Delaware people, but an interesting result anyways.

00z EPS Control had a 1-2" storm. GEFS gives us a shot as well.

Wait... if our events are busting because we are in a drought, and hence it can’t rain/snow in a drought, are we literally going to be stuck in a drought forever? Has someone done the math?! Cancel the next 50 winters until global warming moves the ocean close enough to help us out.

I have a decent chunk of some of the free snow totals maps going back a week. I'll try and get those off of my phone and put them in an album at some point.

I had turned on TWC. The night before I had looked at my Local on the Eights and was stunned to see the 18-24 inch forecast. I knew what was coming, but couldn't grasp it until the night before. I barely got any sleep, and had the radar on. I dosed off, woke up at six, and saw the most impressive blob of white over DC, with no way out of it. Easily the best moment of my weather life, and truly got me interesting in snow, rather then hurricanes. I have a saved photo of that radar still that I'm going to try and dig out so I can remissness.
