    I would never comment out-of-subforum for anything but severe, but it does give me some sick and twisted joy to go into the NYC subforum when a bad run like the EURO comes in and just read the posts. Clearly I'm not a great person, lol.

    I've DM'd them on Twitter and got this -- "We've been encountering a site issue specifically in the 1pm EST (sometimes 1am EST) hour this week. It's intermittent and we think we are close to resolving it (unfortunately we can only work on diagnosis when it actually happens). There isn't a fix on the user end at the moment, but we hope to be there soon." So they know -- but they clearly haven't gotten there.

    you've been on point with the stormvista maps and very simple good analysis - just wanted to randomly share props. Looking like you either chase this to the Delmarva and/or root for the light/mod snow Friday. Or both lol. And you glue the crown to the GFS' head for this winter, though psu firmly noted the NAM/EURO have done this before with this kind of storm

    deleted something on temps being marginal - they do chill off as it goes, but might lose some of the first few hours. Regardless, it's mostly pretty light, so hoping to see this juice up.

    I think they miss but I'm untrustworthy frankly (people are saying good frames were coming so there ya go) -- a lot of the snowfall shown is actually from the precursor event that I've forgotten the term for. Tried to separate the snow maps accordingly though this isn't perfect -- no 9hr option.

    for the WxBell folks, you can compare h500 maps (and really any maps!) to model runs of not only old EURO runs, but also things like the GFS, CMC, 18z NAM... just fyi. it's how I try and figure out if things look the same and don't make terrible errors.

    Sorry, it’s sorta hard to convey tone over these messages lol. It’s frightening in comparison but you are totally right that expectations should be low on the western edge of the world. I’m not yet grizzled enough to be cool with OCMD getting 2’ while the mountains get 2” lol, but it obviously can and has and will happen.
