  1. Our obs are tracking well. Was about to report the same. How is your flake quality? Mine are tiny, but maybe it really doesn’t matter
  2. On a pretty great approach for the I-66 deathband. It’s been awhile
  3. Definitely in a bit of a lull, but some better echoes might be approaching. Would like a rocking hour or so!
  4. 1955! Still waiting for greens on the radar. In theory this batch is almost all gravy I suppose… was banking on 7-12 being the heaviest snow.
  5. Something over 2”. Couldn’t get a great guess.
  6. Could use some better flakes to enhance things. Pixie dust hardcore right now. Needles
  7. Little under 2” in NW Arlington. I’d still call it light snow, but maybe I’m being a pessimist
  8. GEFS was a hold if not a slight improvement - GFS was on the lower side of it's own members.
  9. It's pretty light in my corner of Arlington as well... think it still might be working it's way to ground truth a little bit.
  10. Have a relative in town who has been trying to fly out of DCA today... airport seems to be basically closed. After 1-2" of snow? Pretty pathetic.
  11. Even just looking at the surface you can tell it's disjointed but feels like it should be more. Still some time
  12. GFS brings some light snow in Thursday night, then again during the day on Friday. T-2" all told
  13. With 1-2" for most already on the ground a lot of us essentially got purpled
  14. You’re on the Hill? I think I’m counting on you to get me a measurement for my apartment on 1st and H St. NW. Godspeed
  15. Yeah I’m shocked to say I’m pretty close to 1.5” as well. At 370’
  16. Huh… roads have caved. Wasn’t watching closely. Game on.
  17. Nice snow band seems to be parked overhead. Can tell it’s picked up a bit in my corner of Arlington. Should be a bit over 1”.
  18. What did you think of the latest NAM Nest, if you don’t mind me asking? Looked to be a decent (and sorta dramatic, at range) shift towards getting us impacts from the coastal. Do you buy that it would be FRZA for the metro if we get any coastal sloppy seconds?
  19. NAM would be a decent icing event - glaciate our 2-4” with a tenth an inch of ice Honestly pretty big shift for so close to game time
  20. Little more aggressive on the backside too… still has a fair bit of us in FRZA rather than snow though
  21. Should be in nowcasting mode of course, but can’t help myself. NAM says the best stuff in the metro is 7-10pm. Would be nice to get a decent sleep tonight so I support evening rippage
  22. Far as the roads go, yeah. Think we might be very slowly stacking it up on the grass. Decent rates in the little green band parked over Arlington at the moment. Think we’ll need to wait til later to really get going, though the consistent snow now is a nice surprise.
