  1. GFS with some very light snow Saturday before ice.
  2. Little over 0.5” near Union Station
  3. Only meant that with optimism - might not have come off that way. What I tried to say was I think we're gonna get rocked for 6 hours
  4. trying to decide if there is any reason we can't maintain these rates for the next 6"? Think we'll be happy
  5. Rippage... down to 31.5 just like that.
  6. Darker and heavier in the dark greens as the yellows approach. Cave incoming
  7. SWS for snowfall around 1-2”/hr in DC during the evening commute.
  8. same temp in downtown. Still waiting for the turf field to cave but my small flimsy deck is accumulating.
  9. Dumping on traffic cams south of Fredericksburg - MM 121.7 looks nasty. https://www.weatherbug.com/traffic-cam/?latlng=38.17651,-77.5019&camId=454726
  10. backend on the hi-res stuff has been getting better... backbuilding is the one thing we always do well. HRRR and RAP at this point both do have another light round in the AM before flipping to ice, which LWX hinted at in their last AFD
  11. Meso’d for heavy snow of up to 1-2”/hr
  12. All gravy until 4pm. It's looked darn impressive outside under pretty light greens. Yellows soon.
  13. only posting the RAP because i'm bored but i think with the RAP/HRRR caving we're set. 5" or bust now in DC.
  14. Still hanging around 34 on my nearest station, but sure I won’t be too far behind you.
  15. Shockingly solid snow in DC too. Patio furniture caving.
  16. Saying this mostly to myself... anything before 4pm is a bonus. Not expecting of this that falls before 4pm to stick.
  17. Pretty legit -SN near Union Station. Visibility took a modest dive.
  18. It’s days like today I’m very thankful for the rare view of grass (albeit artificial) in DC. Might prevent me from going insane when North Cap never caves
  19. That's about where I'm at in downtown too. Good luck to us! May the temps fall precipitously.
  20. Wow! A win for some of the very aggressive modeling. Think that bodes well for the GFS' jackpot zone today, and hopefully for the rest of us too.
  21. That was the best and worst thing about living in Cville... never knowing what was gonna happen. Radar would show nada and it would snow for two hours longer. They need to stick a radar dish up on Afton... tear up the abandoned hotel (but leave room for the birders!)
