  1. KMLB had a heck of a season that year, the eyes of both systems moved into view beautifully and kept coming.
  2. Frances and Jeanne in 04 I think were the last true FL east coast specials. Not catastrophic but solid hits.
  3. Theoretically it could be useful for convective initiation, but frankly I'm not even sure it's good at that. Sat is probably better. I use it for clear air winds aloft though, and there's not much else to use.
  4. It's useful operationally at the 1-3 hr range
  5. A 1.5 hr delay is nothing these days. You'd almost have to sign for that going in.
  6. honestly, I think this still might be my fave out of all of them. The original.
  7. Thanks. Interestingly, given that the all time record high min is 80 in threadex, all the likely contenders here (89/90/95/06) got wiped out by fropas during the day. Not coincidence I suppose.
  8. Yeah. That's insane. Ties the all time record from 7/31/1917
  9. Great downpour. May you all get it.
  10. Seriously awful. A rare breeze has kicked up here which has made things slightly more tolerable.
  11. Yeah, Basrah is humid af, in the valley and adjacent to the gulf. Truly an awful climate.
  12. SVR issued for the cell over Quabbin. Nice storm scale rotation evident and probably low end severe hail. I'll probably get clipped on the far southern end but not expecting much of note.
  13. Let's run with it straight through mid April shall we? 3rd year nina
  14. We've seen shredded plenty of times. This is not shredded.
  15. Looks pretty good IMO. TOR tag added to the SVR that just went out.
  16. Headed N to beat the heat and hit up a really beautiful pastoral brewery in Braintree, VT called Bent Hill Brewery. Storms formed around noon and there was a steady breeze at elevation... then we drove east through the forest to Fairlee shortly after the rain had moved out and temps got all the way down to 70 with fog. Felt like the place to be today.
  17. seemingingly a fail here. Nice job by the SPC and a heckuva job by Joe D as well. Those storms were rotating quite a bit aloft and several did have an open feed of moisture to work with, but just couldn't quite get it going in the lower levels.

  19. Was due for the 7/10 split here, but some rained cooled outflow would have been nice.
  20. There's been consistent storm scale rotation up there, but nothing has been able to tighten up very much.
