  1. Pardon my reaction, but this makes me very sad to be happening on Christmas eve and morning. Hope all stay safe and warm especially if without power. Sigh.
  2. Last thing the public needs is widespread power outages right on Christmas morning. What a way to add more misery on an already stressful and distressing holiday time for so many in this year that just needs to freaking end.
  3. I can't believe we are talking TOR a week after a major winter storm. This is just insane.
  4. I think there are Nino and Nina correlations in temp and precip distribution as evidenced by analogue data, but specific patterns from one nino or nina year to the next are varied, depending on the phase of the ENSO cycle, strength and other factors.
  5. Interesting that you are rooting for the opposite of what most here want.
  6. That Jan 20 - March 2010 pattern was suppression city for our area if I remember correctly.
  7. Yup. Kudos to the CMC. Many were disbelieving such a northern jackpot solution including me early on, until other models started joining.
  8. Amen to that! Winter wonderland this morning.
  9. Thanks for reminding me. Such is life too. Some will always have it better, be living my dream when I can't. But I gotta remember I am living another's dream too.
  10. I know. I feel robbed. When I posted in the main forum about my concerns for mid level warming yesterday, I was told not to worry at all up here. Well, I had a good reason and there we are. I love the snow and feel grateful for it, but yeah... What could have been. An opportunity like this probably won't present itself for a log time again. If we aren't fringed, we're warmed.
  11. Radar nicely blossoming again in MD and South Central PA. Another good band to move through our area as well.
  12. I will be happy with a foot and honestly if I can squeeze out 15 I will be thrilled.
  13. Might be struggling with the potential convective components of the system where depictions of sleet might also be bright banding projections from more convective precip. I don't know. Just throwing this out there. SPC does have our region in the marginal risk for thunderstorms tonight which hopefully means thunder snow and possibly sleet mixed in during such convective episodes.
  14. Off to the races fellas! I am assuming we are all fellas here and no women? If so, it would be cool to have women followers in this group to round things out a bit.
  15. Hoping for 18 here in POU but I will gladly take 13 in mid December!
