Well, this was disappointing in terms of snowfall here. But I’m happy for those who were able to cash in. Even with less snow, it’s still hugely wintry out there with the wind and blowing and drifting. .

While we upgraded to a blizzard warning, Hudson Valley Weather (HVW) put out a high bust statement given the GFS model having the low further east. .

I got a dusting here in Poughkeepsie in January 2016. I think I’m gonna get more than that this time. .

As much as I love the snow, that relentless cold is getting very tiring for me. It felt so relieving for the temps to climb slightly above freezing. Back in the icebox this weekend. .

Hope nobody loses power. Everyone stay safe. This winter is a drag for me despite the continuous cold and small snow cover. Getting tired of these piddly snow events without a big one to celebrate. Nickling and diming our way to average snowfall. So dull. Definitely better than last year though. So many southern sliders this winter. is Julian still here?

This winter reminds me a lot of the 1970s and 1980s winters- cold but quite dry with a couple of exception years.
