    Guess where I got my user name from? Thanks Barry! I lived at my parents house in Shrewsbury, MA until 1997 and I remember all those TV Mets. Barry, Harvey and Mark were my favorites

    As much as I love snow and winter weather, other positives are lower frequency of accidents and injuries due to snow and ice. But I feel bad for people who make money from snow removal.

    I can think we can mostly expect 40s rain from now through April with some sunny breaks into the 50s in between. I have zero expectations for winter weather. If it comes, I will say wow.

    I know...of course it will snow again... Partial kidding on my part, but I am generally concerned that our winters are going to be less exciting if we're entering another warmer phase either naturally or human influenced or both as alluded to by others here.

    I was going to buy a snow blower last year, glad I didn't. I am afraid I might never need one again given the current trends.

    MJO being weenied by Snowman is such an automatic knee jerk given now with his every post that even if MJO talked about an episode of diarrhea he had yesterday, the weenie stamp would still be there. I knew someone would weenie this post too

    What is it about the annual solstice torch that just keeps repeating year after year? Fluke coincidence it must be or is there something else systematic here going on that gives this such a high degree of consistency and predictability? I mean, what are the odds? Coming from a relative layman here in the weather forum.

    For me, disgust with the beginning of met winter. Same old mild, snowless, rainy crap from last winter. But I am holding out hope for Jan and Feb.

    Hey guys , how's it going? I usually only come on here during the winter, but I thought I'd say hello. So we go from abnormally dry to abnormally wet in a pretty short span. More storms today.

    Could be manglers, but I do hear the sharp pings on my window. Looking outside in the porch light, I do see white rain.
