  1. Pretty cool clouds as that 2nd line is dropping down this way. Getting breezy now too.
  2. Just got about 1/2" of rain and a few 1/2" hail stones from that line that popped up in front of the main line. Let's see if it causes any weakening of that main line in this area.
  3. Don't know if it's verified, but the severe t'storm warning down in southern New Castle county Delaware says 2" hail indicated by radar. Wow!
  4. Yeah I said 1.5", think it was closer to 2" here. Elam is about 1/4 mile from here, I had to look it up the 1st time I saw it in a severe t'storm warning, lol.
  5. Wound up with about 1.5" here. So this is how the water runoff is supposed to look, with everything just about restored from a couple of weeks ago. I put some piles of dirt out earlier, to rake in some gouged out spots for reseeding, but that won't happen today!
  6. On the northern edge of another blob here, coming down pretty good. Hanging out under a holy tent, lol.
  7. Got about a half inch here, cooled things off nicely for the moment.
  8. It's a little bit better outside today, DP is down to 71 here, temp. 80F. Nice little breeze out of the East/ENE. Still humid, but better!
  9. 5th day in a row here moving rocks and screenings. Trying to beat the theoretical heavy rain...getting close to being ready even though there will be a few days of "touch up" afterward. It's been brutal as you can imagine! Currently 85F with DP 78+.
  10. Same measurements here - looking forward to some relief!
  11. Cheers! And yes, a lot of Gatorade gets consumed here too. Days like these and working outside, I like it to feel like a walk in refrigerator when I come inside. 73F on the t'stat does the trick, although I could take 70 if it wasn't for the electric bill, lol.
  12. We were playing with rocks all day and yeah, I could wring my tee shirt out. Plus it's down in a slight valley, not much air movement, and everything is damp from all the rain last week. And then we had a shower in the pm just to keep things nicely humid. AC feels great now!
  13. Wasn't in the forecast but might get a little t'shower...heard thunder a minute ago. Out here working on the rocks, wouldn't mind if it missed us, but kinda looks like it's gonna hold together.
  14. Cool, sounds like I can put everything back the way it was and not worry about it for a very long time. Right?
  15. So this is the lawn after the glacier of 2019-2020 receded. Left behind a lot of rocks rounded off by the pressure and friction of the massive moving snow mass.
  16. I'm going with the 6.40" in the gauge here, I saw somewhere that someone measured a rate of 12" per hour at one point. Anyway, when we created this rock area out back, in 2014, we put a 6" pipe in to handle non-heavy rainfalls, and figured that the "3 year flood" would just overflow and run across the grass. We contoured the grass so the water would be spread out over a 40 to 50' wide area. It's worked pretty well overall, except we seem to get 2 or 3 "3 year floods" a year now. Up until today we had never had a single rock wash out onto the grass, at the most some debris from the woods (like Tuesday). This rain today was so far beyond anything we anticipated, I don't think we could have designed for it. First pic, my son was having some fun in it, lol. 2nd pic is during the rain. 3rd pic is the aftermath. Those are river rocks out on the grass, some of them are 8 or 9" long. Guess I won't be mowing there for a few days.
  17. Pretty much wound down here. 6.4" total, same as Tuesday. Seems high, have to see what other areas are reporting.
  18. Thanks. We'll see about the snow pile - a December snow pile would be nice!
  19. We just moved some rocks back into place this afternoon, but now they're out in the middle of the yard. Never seen that much water coming out of the woods.
  20. 6.1" in 35 minutes. Almost as much as we got Tuesday in about 5 hours. Our back yard is full of river rocks now, lol (waah).
  21. And another inch since my last post. Yikes. Gotta be some serious flooding around, on top of the 6" here the other day.
  22. Wow, 3" of rain since my post 16 minutes ago.
