Lol...I was going to say that I actually plow that parking lot, j/k. I also have a tiny bit of snow left in my shaded backup pile - about 6x8" and 4" high. Maybe I'll take a pic of it tomorrow, lol.
Exciting, lol. I spent about 6 hours yesterday picking up branches and sticks from Thursday night. Maybe not as many next time...nature's pruning and all.
Dover radar was showing a lot of red for the last few hours, but when I looked at Ft. Dix or LWX the same areas were green or yellow. Maybe some kind of malfunction or something. Larger scale radar showed it too for the same area, but maybe it's a composite of several local sites.
At any rate started getting some heavier rain and gustier breezes starting about a half an hour ago.
Merry Christmas!
Down to about 55% coverage here, today was a big melt day. Tomorrow will finish it off, but I'm pretty confident about snow piles for Christmas. Tip of the hat to our week of snow cover, not bad at all for December lately.
I'll be getting out the snow-noculars shortly. Snow in the air would be nice, a little fresh coating even better. Had some deer out back last night around 9 pm, one came within about 40 ft. of us, checking things out. Nice!
Measured 0.9" of new frozen matter this morning which included 0.5" of powder on top, giving a storm total of 6.1". Really looks nice outside. Something about a nice fresh snow cover in December, the week before Christmas, just seems...right. It's been a while!
Mainly rain (freezing) here now with just a little sleet. Can hear the tree branches starting to creak a little from the ice. Currently 31F. Power flickered for a minute. Come on dry slot! And then maybe some powder on top?
Started happening here around the same time. Measured 5.2", and did a little shoveling. Exceeded my expectations, doubled last season's total, nice snowy afternoon, and it's December to boot!
