  1. If you left late tomorrow morning you'd probably miss the worst (best) of it, guessing it's about a six hour drive? Of course if you want to experience it, doing it tonight is the way to go!
  2. Getting some pretty good ctc lightning overhead. Raining moderately, with a little bit of a breeze.
  3. Small little cell popped up to the WSW of here out in front of that main batch. Starting to get some thunder and lightning.
  4. 90F here currently, RH 36%, DP 59. Still feels kind of toasty out, but the evening should be nice.
  5. Had 0.26" from that midnight light show and some leftovers this morning. Month total here is a little over 6", most of that from Fay.
  6. Nice, the sky here was similar, we had some deer out front and the lighting was pretty cool from the reflection off the clouds.
  7. Wow - nice! I wonder if that's the storm that woke me up around 11:30. Lots of lightning and thunder.
  8. Getting a sun shower here, just popped up overhead, big drops.
  9. We've been getting occasional steamy windows here too. It's currently 88F with a DP at 77...ugh...
  10. Do you have AC and it's not working, or are you living the austere burlap life? If the latter, do you consider a fan decadent? Lol inquiring minds need to know.
  11. I didn't see that but I believe you. Now it's summer as usual, hot and humid with temps 90 to 95, and a weekly cool down into the upper 80's that lasts about a day and a half like Kevin said. I hope we get surprised and it breaks early like last year, starting in mid August as opposed to mid September.
  12. I remember seeing upper 80's and it's only 84 right now, but the DP here is 77. The "cool front" such as it is slowed down but it should be less humid by tomorrow or Saturday, fwiw.
  13. Got 1.25" yesterday evening, missed one to the north earlier, but the thunder was cool, and just had a shower, nothing really measurable. Sun coming out, 79F and super muggy.
  14. Saw a couple of lightning bugs here, lol. Nice series of morphing and shape shifting storms down here, mostly heavy rain with some thunder and lightning, not too much wind. Just crossed the 1 inch mark, coming down hard again. Refreshing!
  15. 91F and DP 75 currently. Been stuck at 91 for almost an hour.
  16. Here it's only 83, but the RH is 82%, DP 76. Just came outside and put my glasses on to post and they steamed up, lol.
  17. Not an inspiring forecast for the next week - coolest forecast high here is 90 next Friday. I see some steamy windows in your future!
  18. Heard one Wednesday night here, then 2 or 3 last night. Agree about the early part. They don't usually overlap with lightning bugs much, but those guys are still at it, although winding down a bit.
  19. Finally heard one cicada today! Also, had a (live) snake on the porch yesterday.
  20. Relatively beautiful morning out there. 82F, DP 68, one puffy cloud in a sea of blue...
  21. We had a boatload of those last year, holes all over the place. I mowed over the holes and they took it in stride. I think they don't sting but they are pretty intimidating looking.
  22. None here yet, oddly. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised to hear one tomorrow.
